The A Solo Job and One Man Army missions are (as far as I can tell) endlessly repeatable. You'll get Reputation every time you finish killing enemies and talk to the Guard, but they'll only stop being available if you outlevel them.

they are there so u can get as many as repectable points.. and celestones or sumthing.. so if u ar a fan of celestones and reputation points then u can go on doing it.

Well, reputation seems to turn into a requirement at around lvl 30.

During my current "cultivation" chain, I was told "if you have enough reputation, go see ... ". Appararently I do have enough reputation, though.

A few levels back I was told that reputation determines "rank", which in turn enables you to buy special items. I never buy NPC items so I don't know whether it's important, but my reputation wasn't enough for rank 1 anyway, There wasn't a lot missing, though; maybe I can get rank 1 now/soon.

I do all the quests, and I do the "one man army"-style quests when I need to kill the monsters anyway. At the lower levels, you're getting more quests than you can handle, so I still don't have the time to do things like farming for Hay or the bank extension items, let alone do things like repeatable quests :-) For the Hay I'll have to make time, though... I wanted those 20 Hay since the beginning, I'm now lvl 32, I have 18/20 quests open (and probably a few that I haven't seen yet), and the highest level monster to drop hay is 34...

lol i hope u know that drop rates decrease if u r higher than the mobs u r going to kill.....
so i would say "have fun grinding for ur bank quest materials on low lvl mobs now ^^ :D "

Well, I got my Hay yesterday, now it's Fruits :-)
I also got the first bank extension a while back; for the second one I seem to either have the full stacks already (although the dragon quest chain occasionally eats some), or no item at all. I guess I'll have to ask the database site where these can drop...

Other than that, yes --- the quest thing is an unexpected problem. I think this is the first game I play where you don't get time to farm, at least in the early levels. Which wouldn't be a problem if they didn't have those stupid drop rate changes and the farming quests... and I suppose I can forget about alchemy too by now. I've started the mule off all materials a while back just in case, but I'll probably need low level stuff to get started...

If you are at least level 30 and have at least 300 rep you get the rank 1 ring. If you are at least level 40 and have at least 1000 rep you get the rank 2 ring. Rank 3 requires level 50 and 2500 reputation. The items that are given to you are the only thing I know of that you can "buy" because of reputation and they are given to you for free when you get the required rank.

When you are rank 2, you can buy a set of armor for 10k a piece from the lady standing next to the rep guy in archosaur.

When you are rank 3 and level 60, you can get new rep items etc...

The only item that comes free is the ring, the additional items you have to buy. They're pretty decent usually, and the rank 8 weapons are some of the best in the game.

Im having that problem too. I killed it and turned it in, but it wouldn't turn in and i'd like to mention that it's level 6 and im lvl 7 and it's still that way. there are no other quests available from the chief but before i selected this one there were several. ?_?

One Man Army doesn't give experience rewards, beyond of what you get for killing the monsters. You get a Celestone Fragment and Reputation points (based on level, AFAIK).
Slow progress, game is getting way too grindy :-( Quests I still hope to be able to do some day: FB39, General Feng

out of interest, is there any real reason why necroing is discouraged on these forums? most other online forums i've been to don't seem to object to it nearly as much, if at all. perhaps because game changes can make old advice obsolete?

(not a necro, but a threadjack. now THAT'S frowned on most everywhere else i've been...)
