Territory Wars for Euros

Sorry if this has been discussed earlier, but I wondered if there are any
plans for enablig much more GMT friendly times for starting a Territory War ?.

As for now, it starts 04.00 GMT which is kind of out of the question for most of us, and
kind of makes one of the most interesting parts of the game unaccessible
leaving me pondering about if I should just stop playing it now.

Playing on Sanctuary, lots of GMT'ers in the guild, and they feel the same.

Any GM feedback on plans for introducing more appropriate times for Euro players ?

    Currently, the TW times is only fine for North American west coast users.

    For East Coast, it start at 23:00, which is not very user friendly either.

    There was numerous threads about this concern posted before, and no admin ever cared to answer any of them in a meaningful manner.

    GM's i'd advise you look into this as many EU people I know from PWI are ready to go to the europe version because the times are unbearable for them. The only people who are content with these times are PST players.

    They do need to look into the times. I mean. I come from England. I don't play the Euro version due to how unprofessional and poorly managed it is. The trouble is ... why should I level in this game? The main reason is TW's and without that ... I doubt I will level.

    I know programming and adding in another siege time would not be hard at all. I know other games where this problem has occured and every single one changed their times, and you know what? Their servers went from nearly empty to nearly maxed out.

    Even if it turns out as 12pm GMT, not only will this make it better for the U.S. players, it means the EU ones will be able to play if they really want to. This is meant to be an INTERNATIONAL game after all.

    We are definitely looking into TW times.

    I can't give any firm comments on what's being done and/or what time frame it will be done in, I can say however that we see a strong vocal presence on the boards for some sort of solution and we are looking into a variety of them.

    how about you just let us have them at the times advertised on the main site? Intresting to see how the worst possible times from all the available slots where chosen.

    From site:
    Friday: 8:00pm-11:00pm <- To LATE!!! ***** over large part of players*

    Saturday: 9:00am-12:00pm <- Only good for players that dont have jobs
    2:00pm-5:00pm <- Almost perfect for everyone world wide, but not used
    8:00pm-11:00pm <- To LATE!!! ***** over large part of players*

    Sunday: 9:00am-12:00pm <- Good,not supposed to work on sudays and I doubt many goto church
    2:00pm-5:00pm <- Almost perfect for everyone world wide, but not used
    8:00pm-11:00pm <- To LATE!!! ***** over large part of players*

    Territory Wars are very important. I think the leaders of the country should take diplomatic decision to solve the territory problems. It will not be affected peoples' life.

    The biggest issue for me is sunday night (which corresponds to monday morning 5am) since during the week-end I can wake up at 4:30 (that's what I did the 2 previous week-ends) because I can take a nap to catch up during the saturday or the sunday, but it's out of question on a monday... I think there's an obvious reason related to that in the fact that most northern territories, whose TW is on sunday, are not taken yet.... No european players at all can be in TW on sunday 11pm PST...
    So please if you think about changing the times gradually to test things out, solve the sunday issue first ^^

    PWI should be focused on the players for all over the world. Not just americans. You can easily put TW in the afternoon for americans and evening for europeans. I mean come on, stayin awake till 7am in europe (CENTRAL EUROPEAN TIME) is a little bit pain in the a$$.

    It was dangerous Territory Wars in Europe country. Europe was an area of heavy fighting across Europe.

    Why not have them at different times each week? Have the time be convenient for americans one week and convenient for european players the next. This way everyone would get a chance to TW.

    nope I'm GMT+2 which is like central europe.. 6hours ahead of server (I think), soo 2pm server time = 8pm my time. Even countries like sweden and netherlands is gmt+2/3 max, thats as far east as IP bans allow players.

    Asia is IP banned so that doesnt count.

    GMT +2 is 10 hours ahead of the server time (west coast of NA is GMT -8:00) so if the TW was 10am-1pm it would be 8pm-11pm for GMT +2, why can't they just do that?

    hmm maybe the best solution would be just to get some decent programmers and wutever (and im guessing they have them) to spend a little time or even alot of time lolz putting in a time select system for TW's =/

    Sure there are always gonna be a few people unhappy, but seriously when its 8pm-11pm GMT -8:00 time, that basically rules out all the players not in North America and even quite a few who are in NA, whereas if they had the time as something like 10am-1pm the only people who really couldn't participate would be people who work.

    Yeah TW times are ridiculous and should be fixed ASAP. The way it is now isnt balanced or fair towards a majority of the players.

    I have to agree with some on the TW times and they should be changed (comeing from a guy that is in PST). It's not that it is bad for me it is because it is bad for just about half of america (which I am guessing your going for since it is that reason why you jacked up the prices so much). People who live in EST have to stay up to 2am! 2AM! I see it for even people who work on fridays or saturdays in PST will get home at 6:20pm or so or earlier, so why not make it 6:30pm PST? That way EST people only have to stay up till 9:30pm.

    TW is at EST 23:00-02:00 not PST.
    For PST its 20:00 - 23:00
    Fot GMT+2 its 05:00 -08:00 (the next morning)

    I don't know exactly whats the deal with the server time at the moment because the server time is supposed to be PST, but the events seem to run on EST. Its a bit of a mess in short and needs urgent attention.
