Hi everyone!

I'm not sure how to describe the problem so I'm just gonna post some piccies of it for you all to see:

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y229/Mebius/Glitch.jpg

I've encountered this glitch two times now in seperate areas and am clueless as to what the cause is. The other area where it happens is in Bamboo forest and I don't wanna think where else in the game it will affect me :( It makes the game unplayable in those areas and I'd really like to know what's going on. I've tried adjusting all the in game settings, even on the lowest resolution it still occurs. My graphics card is a Radeon 9200 124 mb which someone said shouldn't be a problem, so anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

That's an interesting look. Does it stay like that as long as your character is in an area, or is it dependent on where the camera is looking? I'm only used to seeing that when a partially transparent texture or effect is between the camera and players.

Are you using the most updated driver for your graphics card?

    Hi gattsuru!

Thanks for the reply, I tried downloading the latest driver but I don't know much about this stuff, I encouneterd a few errors and had to download .NET which I'm not sure what that is...I'm not even sure it installed properly as I kept getting an error.

The problem stays like that until I leave the area, sometimes when I enter the area it's fine, nothing wrong with it at all but other times I get all the blueness. Like in the sea when I surface the problem goes away instantly yet when I dive again it comes back. I had a theory it had something to do with the blue mist in both areas I have trouble with but so far haven't found a solution to the problem. :(

ATi had historically had a good number of issues with transparency, after image, and shader model support, especially on their earlier cards. You may want to try the OmegaDriver, making sure that Warp is turned off, Water Quality is set to minimum, turning off Sharpen and Shadows and Soften (and testing both settings on Refraction). If you have the Catalyst Control Center installed, make sure that it's set to allow application control of anti-aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering are set to application-controlled or off.

Thanks for all your help gattsuru, I recently switched from window mode to full screen and since then I haven't had the problem but I'm not convinced just yet. I've bookmarked the omega driver and if I encounter the problem again I'll download that and take things from there. :)

    Thanks again!

That sort of behavior usually indicates a driver issue, or a damaged video card. Please reinstall your graphics card driver, and if that doesn't fix the problem, bring up a dxdiag.

I actually had a similar issue and send a ticket in here is the GM answer. :)

Have you tried uninstalling, and reinstalling the game, then patching it to the latest version and see if that helps? It could be the result of not having the drivers for your video card updated. Listed below are some websites where you can get the latest drivers to update your video card. Microsoft Direct Xhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Browse.aspx?displaylang=en&categoryid=2 Nvidiahttp://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us ATIhttp://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html Omega Drivers (only for people who are comfortable with using modified drivers)http://www.omegadrivers.net/omega_drivers.php You could also install the East Asian Language pack that is on your original Windows disc.Outlined below is a step-by-step guide to installing it in your computer (for Windows XP - Vista users might have to undergo different steps, but they should still be similar). Try it and see if it works for you: 1. Insert your Windows XP CD2. Go to Control Panel3. Go to Regional and Language Options4. Click on the "Languages" Tab5. Click on the "Install files for East Asian Languages" checkbox and make sure that it's checked.6. Click on the OK button for the dialog box that appears.7. Click on the OK button of the window to close it, and begin the installation. If you are using Windows 98 or ME, follow this link for instructions:http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/downloads/recommended/ime/install.msp If you are still having issues, send me your dxdiag log and I'll see if thee are any issues with your computer. If you could please send a DXDiag log, that would help us to diagnose the problem. To do this, go to Start, click on run (if using Windows XP; in Vista, click in the search bar), then type in dxdiag and press enter. Click on Save All Information, then attach the text file to your reply. Let us know if you still need support.

Please avoid symbols other than commas and periods, phaze1; the boards sometimes go funky on other ones.

Please update your drivers (32-bit-Vista here, 64-bit Vista here).
