Offline Shops

Is there any particular reason why players have to keep windows open in order to keep shops open?

If shops remained open while players were offline, it would enable everyone to sell stuff during their off times without having to keep the game open. Also, less bandwidth. Mainly, I play more than one game, and keeping one PW open for a shop doesn't rank very high on my list of favorite things.

Likely problems and solutions:
Crowding- I saw someone complain about having to load too many shops.
Solution- have a distance requirement on shops? So you cannot drop then within a certain distance of each other, and once a certain number of shops are dropped in an area, that distance starts increasing drastically. That would keep shop clusters from getting too big.

if they do make offline shops, it will probably be a premium option (like pay for it)

One other possible problem would be MULTIPLE accounts... simple enough, I suppose, have it be one shop per IP. If the account has Zen though, it could bypass that, so max would be one free account and your main that you buy stuff on, or just one free account. Just have each shop-dropping action check that IP against a list of all other IPs with shops.
