well everyones gonna have a different oppinion but as for me in a cleric and im happy with my character. u can electrocute stuff and shoot with an enless ammo bow. but most of the skills are healing realated. and as far as an archer im not even for sure how they work. but i think u might have to buy/make ur ammo for some of the weapons.

Both characters are good and fun options. Here's a brief rundown and I hope it helps. (Keep in mind I'm a bit biased because I play cleric).

    Archer
    * fast hits, high crits, low defenses and hp, great dodge rate- these guys are your typical archer/strider/ranger/whatever you want to call them class. They're fast, deadly, and pretty squishy on the hp and defenses. Archers get some pretty crazy skills and can be very very deadly in PVP or TW. I believe they have the ability to do some magic damage too (don't quote me on that one, I'm not 100% sure)

    Cleric
*clerics actually have the capacity to do both magical and physical damage (plume quill and feather razor are both physical damage skills).
*clerics can debuff (mdef debuff, pdef debuff, paralize skill, sleep skill), but at a slight cost to the user (mdef and pdef debuffs also work on the caster at the same time as on the monster, but great for TW)
*HEALING- only class in game that has that kind of reliable healing capacity
    *BUFFS
*i know this may sound odd, but a well built cleric can and will outdamage many wizards of the same lvl. Since clerics have healing skills, they can do a "full int" option, meaning all available points not used for equipment go right into strength. This gives clerics a huge mana boost and more importantly a huge damage boost. The trade off for this is low hp, but a clerics hp is already pretty low and can be balanced out by refining equipment (which gives extra hp on def eq) and adding hp stones.

umm.....I think that covers it. :) ok so maybe I'm a bit more than biased in favor of clerics......GO MAKE A CLERIC!! b:chuckle
