Ive noticed that the sun and the moon change.. but is it really real time? if it is its waaay off for me. and is there a way to set it to your time zone if it is real time? that would be a really cool feature of the game if it acctually was real time.

That'd be kickass... I second this motion.

I'll be adding a suggestion for this kind of feature. You'll have the credit.

who gives a damn? Really! WoW has real-time day/night cycle and i never liked it. I play most of my time in the evening hours. So i know Azeroth almost exclusivly by night....... which sux imo.

I like having the Sun up at Midnight!! :)

I've seen the moon/sun rise. They do actually move through the sky, but at accelerated rates. And, yes, I have to say I love surfacing in the multi-colored water to a nice sunrise!~

I prefer an accelerated rate. If you mostly play during day or during night that would be all you would see. Also as we are not all in the same time zone different people experience different periods of daylight. Also some locations on the map have weather phenomenon (snow, rain) which is cool, though I wish it would change sometimes.

Yes, games with day/night need an accelerated clock, or a lot of people will almost always see the same time ingame.

Not everyone is a 24/7 player.

I have also noticed that the Sun and moon rise and set in the south. They come up for a bit from the South, then a bit later, they sink below the horizon in the South. It's still a cool feature, even if it's not scientifically accurate...^_^

Perhaps implement different mobs coming out during these times and whatnot as well?

No, the day/night cycle is many times faster than real. I've played PWI long enough to notice this and can actually see the moon move very slowly but constantly and smoothly.
