Quests, Leveling, and Grinding.

Hello people of PW. I've come to ask a very simple question, in hopes that I will get an intelligent answer in response. My question being as follows...

I hear many people say there are a major lack of quests to do after level 40 or so, and thus, after this level you are practically forced to grind to the top. I understand the need of challenge and such, so a bit of grind does not bother me. However, the thing worrying me since I started is that if the quests stop than grinding becomes... boring. After all, quests give purpose.

So I guess to sum this all up my main question is... Are ALL the quests after X level gone? Or is there some sort of repeatable quest, or quest chain that wont force me to grind out my levels monster after monster all day every day? I've already had bad experiences with other MMOs that are total grindfests, and Perfect World doesn't seem at all to be one... But I've heard that things get really really slow after 40.

Any help on this subject is greatly appreciated!

You'll always have the spirit cultivation quests, Fb quests and what not. There is also a daily quest given by Hou Jenshi in Archosaur which will give around 20-30% however at my level it more or less drops to around 17%.

Pretty much slow down on the quest around level 37 is what I noticed, I get about 3-5 normal quests each level though so i'm still not grinding all of it, At the same time it can't be easy to get to 100.

So far ill just grab a party or talk to my faction whilst I grind. Not boring yet :P

Thank you very much for the fast reply. You getting to 50+ in a month or less has reassured me for the most part, as long as there is some sort of quest to do at any given time I'll keep myself occupied b:victory

I was only worried that this would be another grindfest waste of time like every other free MMO I've played. So far PW looks really promising!

haha is that fast? I did it in about 4 days too. And the last day I was trying to slow myself down so as not to get too far ahead of my friend. Got about 50 elemental fragments that day...haha

u can do FB quests with friends (who have tablet) to earn exp.

u can do dragon quests over and over, however they cost alot to do.

u can do the daily quest from lvl 30-60 gving roughly 20% exp each time.

u can do the world quest from lvl 70+ 30 times giving a ton of exp.

eventually u will have to grind, but if u combine fb's/dqs/regular quests that amount u need to grind is minimal.

I guess it's normal if you have no job or life.

Would people stop with no life already? You have no idea who the person is or what they do. Some people
are more efficient with levelling than others. Some could be on hollidays or whatever but you just dont know.

Don't throw accusations at people when you have no evidence to support it!

Thanks again for all the input, guys. And I suppose if I do have to grind to some extent it can't be all that bad, especially if I get into a good guild.

    Kudos!

Those kind of comments sounds more like " Ienvy you" than others things, so I do agree with Reikara, there are some rules of conduct if you take the pleasure to read them! So stop that behaviour, it does not spek well of you!
Thanks ppl, you made me happy with this post, since I was worried about grinding too! But I guess that if you manufacture, getting materials its all an adventure by itself!
Yesterday I spent 2-3 hours partying with low levels to get some stuffs I needed, and never get bored actually :D

I asked this some time ago to, and now i know that its all about Grind... you can get a new quest each day in Arch b:shocked tho now after lvl42 it cost 7K+money to do...

And you can get 2 new quest(MAX) each time you ding.. So yea, they made PW to be a real grind game.

I'm still not sure why i left my old grind game for this & i prolly end up going back..

Anyway good luck on the Grind path.
This game is getting more & more Hostility each day.

There are also the solo mission quests that you can repeat (at least it gives a purpose to the grinding) and dragon quests do not have to be expensive at all if you just earn the items they ask for (rather than buying them) and fly to where you need to go instead of teleporting. They will not cost anything at all if you do that. They will take time though.

There are quests to do after 40 and it does slow down but its still very managable you can easily get a level a day (assuming you play at least 10 hours a day as most pro-gamers do) up to the 70s that is when it really begins to slow down.

If you play less then 10 hours a day (I'll assume 5 hours) then you can still get a level every 2 days and as a casual gamer thats still pretty good.

If your a lax gamer and just play when you feel like it then yes it will take a while to level but thats how these games are you get what you put into them, still fun none the less.

I've played loads of games (Merentha, Knight Online, Tibia, Lunia, Anarchy Online, Age of Conan, 2moons, Corum Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Shaiya, Planetside,...) and I've gotten max level in most of them (except for the ones that don't have max levels or the newer ones (2moons, Corum online) and this game in comparison ranks average I'd say you can easily make it to the average high levels in a few months.

I feel that is a very good leveling rate though even for the casual type gamer who may only play 30 hours a week.

Also as a side note Grinding combined with questing is the fastest way to level in this game for example early on in the 20s you can get 15 levels a day easy if you get all the mob grind quests (kill 30 of XXX mob) and just go there and pop a 1 hour 1.5 exp scroll and grind for an hour. After the hour turn in your quest for additional exp...

    Hope that helps

Thanks again for the info, guys. Like I said, I don't mind some moderate grinding, it's the really hardcore Lineage 2 type grinding that makes me avoid most free MMOs.

And I think I'll be about in the middle for playing time (between 3-9) hours a day since I have school and other things, so leveling shouldn't be so harsh, even if it's just collect or kill quests, it makes grinding strangely fun. Another thing I've been wondering about, I've only seen one dungeon since I joined, and was wondering if it's worth going all the way through them or not?

Also, thanks traden. I'll be sure to PM you in game sometime within the next day or two.
