Learning/ Leveling pet skills

How to I learn a new pet skill or upgrade my pet skills for my pets. I went to "Pet Skill Trainer" and press "learn skills" with my volcanic magmite. There is no skills available in the list, but they have a pet skill tree.

    You have to buy a skill scroll / level up scroll from an npc in archosaur. She's in the southeast corner and sells quite a few of them.

    The NPC is Mrs. Zoologist. Plan to spend a minimum of 150,000 coin on a scroll. :eek:

    Do you have to buy a skill scroll to learn pet taiming too. I have a venomancer and have readup on it. I have done the quests ans I still can't get the taiming skill. I also an now lv 11 and the skill says min lv 7 to learn and max lv is 10. Now that I'm lv11 does that mean I can't get it now or do I have to make another charactor?

    I had the same problem, go to the pet trainer and try every choice, you'll see that you'll be able to learn the tame skill. You don't learn it by clicking the "learn pet skills" phrase, its some other phrase.

    You learn the taming skill from the Venomancer in town not the Pet skill trainer. If I remember right at lvl7 you do a quest to get your taming skill. Make sure you do all the steps of the quest. If you know you've done that, go visit the Venomancer in town. I'm guessing that you will be near the City of Lost. The Venomancer is beside the Pet Skill Trainer there. Hope that helps.

    I have the taiming skill, but idk what use it got... I tried a few times what the pet trainer said: first making it weak and then using the skill on it.... but still nothing. What did I do wrong?

    What do you mean by nothing? The taming keeps failing? Generally the few times I've tamed something, I've gotten it down to less then half its health and then used the taming skill. Sometimes the taming skill will be interupted so if that happens you have to start the taming again. Also you can't tame creatures that have a higher level than yourself. Some creatures are easier to tame than others and you can tell by the icon by their name.
