Its useful until lvl 40 even in duel I wouldnt use it, takes out mp, its like poison, but take too much time to cast out, you could deal a finishing blow and get critical with another skill if you didnt do it. its up to you

I may be wrong, but I love the draw blood skill.
For PvE, my draw blood skill almost deals 1/3 of my total damage to a mob (if I don't use other skills) and it doesn't require that much mana.
For PvP, It can be helpful for a variety of hit & run tactics but beside that, psychologically this skill is as much feared as the poison from ghouls. Everybody says "I hate poison" when they see their health drop fast even after the mob is dead! Often they might do something noobish to rectify that!

But you haven't heard any of the above from me cause I'm not such an experienced player. One skill might be good for your playing style while its absolutely trash for another. One strategy might be devastating against a group of people while it might be useless against another. So its all your choice.
But one thing is for certain, you must know your character and what it is capable of. This makes you choose your tactics wisely and can use other player's skills to complement your's.

Burjis, your right, but your at lvl 40. Thats about the most use your going to get out of it. Since players and monsters are going to get stronger and draw blood is almost maxed out, it will soon become less useful.

It should always be useful against magic classes though.

Well incase you don't 1-hit ko them and they start kiting, you can make them bleed.

Mmm... you are right, lets say draw blood is useful for pvp, but for pve its sure doesn't deal much more dmg to monsters after lvl 40, if you are dual-axe as me, you would prefer to use an aoe, becuz you will be most of the time against many monsters running after your butt, but if you are blade it's perfect, I guess since, let's say they do 10, 10, 10 ... to the other dudes, the 10 becomes 100 which become 200 etc... let's say on a long-run battle it's kinda useful, but it'll be reduced it the person has much def or if his hp is healing fast (warriors or barb). Against mages it's useful but wouldn't you prefer to cloud sprint and stroll as rush then deal a big blow, such as a stun skill then he is all urs, even though you didnt use draw blood, it do not take much mana but it takes time and in later fight every sec counts. :o

if you don't one hit-ko them you are dead, you can make them bleed yeah but they have range o.o....
I had to choose between the War or the Shame, I chose the shame and I got the war

it can be somewhat usefull for claw/fist users since they deal less dmg so the little extra dmg can help some (well it does for me), but yeah as the others say it becomes less powerful the higher lvl you get and fight higher lvl mobs/players

draw blood doesnt really use that much MP, and it doesnt have a long cast time. Maybe on the MY server where the lag was so bad it took like 4 seconds to use a skill, but not here. It is even faster than your aolean strike or whatever its called. I personally love draw blood and i use it as my opening attack every mob i kill. Maxed out it does a little over 1.8k, and it might not seem like alot, but im at lvl63 and that is equal to about one average attack with my axes, so that means after i use it, that is one less attack i have to use after my first attack. Hey, its not much, but any extra dmg is nice to have

I find draw blood like having an additional, weaker arm. As a fist wr, I have a fast attack rate, so the bleeding fits right in the gaps between my attacks, giving me a constant string of damage

An ability that's maxed out at ~40 in a game with a level cap of 105 (afaik)..."No." has my vote.

Hmm... As I seen from guides, spear user required 'draw blood' to be max out. As it deals high damage, and can cause poison too. As for blade/axe/fist user, doubt its of much usage...

Anyway, I'm a Spear user myself, hence I'm maxing out draw blood... Till so far, the skill not bad lar.. but still will prefer Aeolian blade or Dragon Emerge... as it can attack in range... =D

Draw blood + Piercing winds = squish kill.
88 FIRE! An "anti-tank" projectile, accompanied by an AC-130 are on their way to ensure insanity.

I love this skill. It might be not that effective in pvp but I feel it does make a difference in pve.

I'm at LV30 and it's still useful...basically if you need 35 mobs at same level as you and you hate meditating in bubble... what I've done is take Life potion (i think that's what they're called) which fast-recovers my HP so that i do not have to stop for healing...and then i have 10 minutes time for berserking around at will... but mana will run out so i've made a choice of using just 1 skill per mob and do the rest of it melee. Draw blood seems to fit perfectly to this tactic.

Depend on weapon you going for.

For me as a Spear user, I get it to lvl 5 only. Like what others said, kind of not that useful after lvl 40 mobs...

I use it with every kill, then I just finish with normal attacks. I have it at level 9, and it deals 89 damage per tick to a Wizard 9 level's higher than me. That combined with my other skill, Piercing Winds, all the squishy classes go down.

I use it as a opening on my kills too, its a very useful constant and the channel is 0.3 secs, so technically you wont lose a second in a pvp.

bleed + piercing winds (spear) = teh win.

Forgot to say on my last post:

Think about it in long term, it might deal 1897.5 bleed damage at level 10. But at level 11, it will deal 4676.0 bleed damage. And if you go Heaven, you get an extra 15%, being it 5377.4 bleed damage.

Combined with the Heaven Spear Skill, Piercing Winds, which deals an 4863 bleed damage, that is pretty deadly for non-heavy armor users.

Also, consider that each tick has it's own chance to critical, so the damage can be higher.

Well,I'm kinda old to PvP things, and yes Draw blood is useful, because,as a blademaster you won't usually fight against Phy attackers, that will take too long even for you,and for your oppenent, soo lets think that only archers, and mage users will get it,archers well,blade/sword and fist/claw bms can hit em :D,and for magic users?Deadly, and the demon path of the skill is even good, its like heavens flame, but a bit weaker hehe, but not soo fast, first reach 89.
