Armour question

I'm currently wearing an arcane armour set. I was wondering, if I equip light or heavy armour, how does it effect my spell casting, does it disable any spells?

    It shouldn't affect your spell casting at all, as long as you have a magic weapon. Basically the weapon determines the attack/power, and the equipment determines your magic/physical defense.
