Can the Barbarian be made into an effective damage dealer

just downloaded perfect world and like being the damage dealer (blade master) but in character creation realized just how awesome the barbarian looks but from the looks of things he's a low damage dealing tank, is there a build for the barbarian that is comparable to the blade master and are there any things that need to be worn (or wielded) to maximize this. I'd like to be able to solo and be effective at pvp

    blade master isnt much of a DD compared to archers or wizards

    sure you could choose to allocate stats and choose skills to maximise DD on a BB, but then it would fail in it's role as a HH/FB boss tank and still do less damage than a BM

    Yeah, but it really doesn't matter at the lower levels, because the monsters barely hit 2+ on you, and you can kill them quickly. Basically, from what I've heard, if you want an effective DD, use the blademaster, and find some friends quickly so you can party, because that's how the barbarian levels.
