Adding Sockets to Weapons

I want to add sockets to a weapon. So after I buy the cash shop "socket" item how do I go about adding it to my weapon. is it like refining do I need to take it to a NPC?

    How many socket stones do you need for a weapon? I bought one and went to the NPC and it didn't even show that I had 1 in my inventory. It said i needed 15. is this correct for a weapon?

    Yes! And it may dbl or tripl as u add another slot depending on equip lvl.

    Yeh I was also surprised that you need MANY socket stones. I needed 60 stones (~$5 Australian Dollars) to add a second socket to my bow. Which is pretty lame imo.
