Are you a winged elf or?, cus if you are a winged elf you start with wings, and dont need some flying equipment to fly.

The only "timer" I know of on the Eagle wings is when you are in "fast" fly mode. The timer actually represents how much "fuel" you have left to maintain the accelerated flying speed before it drops you back down to the normal flying speed.

Elven players should note, if they don't already know, that the skill Flying Mastery only applies to the original white starter wings (since they have no accelerated flying speed), and not to any other wings they may obtain.

I am not sure, but I am guessing that the flying device upgrades sold in the cash shop may only apply to non-starter wings as well.

To refuel your wings (or any non-starter flying device for that matter), you need to drag and drop fuel stones (they call them something odd here I can't remember...yiyung stones or something)
They can be fabricated by decomposing equipment at the appropriate npcs (armor at tailors, weps at blacksmiths, etc)

is it practical to use the thing that makes them go faster (eagle wings) and how much faster do they make u? and by practical i mean does it get too expensive to use?

"base flying speed" is 5m/s. Elf wings have +0.0 so that makes them 5m/s in speed. Eagle wings probably have +0.5 (free aerogear at lvl30?) so that makes them 5.5m/s.

The "timer" they refer to is probably acceleration which is higher speed addition, but does require fuel. The normal flying speed (non-accelerated) is still faster than your elf wings... and doesn't use mana.

    Nice necro btw.

the natural wings cost mana to use.
also, there is a skill to boost their speed to +2

necromancing, or doing a necro, is where you post on a thread that nobody has posted inside for 30 days, in this case, two years O_O

normal speed on the eagle wings is faster than normal speed on the white wings, UNLESS you spend the spirit to level up flying mastery. if you do, your white wings can be faster than the eagle wings' base speed before you hit level 30. so it really comes down to whether you want to use accelerate mode a lot, and whether you want to widget the eagle wings to raise their base speed. if you don't, then the white wings (and flying mastery) might actually be better for you.

mana burn isn't a huge issue even for archers, just try not to run your MP bar completely dry before you have to escape from a mob by flying. the distances you can go before you run out of mana are quite sufficient for everyday travel, so long as you fill the bar up before going airborne. and clerics, of course, regenerate mana much faster than the wings use it up anyhow.
    Nice necro btw.

thought we could make it useful.
