Your flying sword isn't actually damaged. It has a speed meter which allows you to fly faster but this meter will eventually run out. You can recharge this meter by disassembling grade 2 and 3 equipment into Fuel Cells. I think you can find more info on this at this thread.

I'm only level 27 in the PWI server, but from what I recall from my time spent on the MY-eng server, you get a ring at level 30 and it was called something like Military Badge. I'm not sure if you could sell it or not, but you needed to keep this so that you could go up to the next Military Rank, so you'll probably want to hang on to that. But I'm not 100% certain of this so maybe someone with more experience can shine some more light on the subject.

But still, how can I delete the Recruit's badge ring?
With what it will help me if I keep it, it helps if I'm a high rack?

no point making a new thread, rank ring behavior hasn't changed in ages, the answer should still be the same now as it was then.

of course, the right answer doesn't seem to have been stated in this thread yet. the only way to get rid of the rank ring is to: (1) reach the next rank, then (2) do only the first half of the quest pair that lets you turn in your rank ring for the next ring in the series. turn it in, but don't accept the replacement.

as for what it helps with, well, it's a magic ring. it adds stats and whatnot to your character when you wear it. and it lets you buy rank armor and equipment of that particular rank. but that's all it does, really.
