    something need to be done about the patcher
    every week its always the same fight to get the game patch

    i run it since 1 hour now and it still downloadin the same file and gettin always the same error :mad:

    This is my first update since I started playing, if this is what I can expect from PWI , think I will give this whole thing a big miss...

    This same thing happens with every new update. It should be a priority matter since if we can't update we can't play and it isn't just a few random people that are having the same problem.

    I know they are all busy and everything, but it would help a lot if they released the manual patch when it's time to update the client. The download page is so far behind on the manual updates it's
    not even funny.

    iv lost a hour of grinding time, trying to update
    ( xp scrolls should speed up solo grinding a lil ^^)

    yep, gms need to do somthing about the patch problem most ppl are getting

    evverrryyyy up date it takes me 1 hr+ to finally update/fix the problem.... fairly annoying after so many weeks
    last week i got lucky and had no problems...

    Well looks like its the same old story this time too...stuck at Tasks.data..hope ill get through sometime...anyway i know GM's r working on it..im confident they will fix it..Later guys..and good luck ;)

    No manual update files to download..
    Patcher errors for over 2 hours (so far)

    How the frak do you expect me to update this?

    Friends ragging on me for why I introduced them to this (some stayed even with the no key remap, they are gone now)

    From what I have read this has been going on for months, its not a 'new' problem.

    And you expect money for this kind of ****?

    I was going to get a bunch of ZEN , glad now I didn't, if you EVER get this fixed I think I will wait awhile before spending any money here..

    The least you could so is provide a downloadable manual patch.

    Please be patient while waiting for the patch to install, as it is somewhat larger than the previous patches. Even if it appears to have frozen, wait a few minutes to see if it resumes. There are processes that are running in the background that compile the patch files but may not necessarily progress the status bar. If it still hasn't moved after waiting for at least three or four minutes, exit the launcher and then restart it and resume the patch; this will usually solve the problem.

    If you are still having problems with patching your game, please submit a ticket to tech support.

    So its normal that it takes 16 hours to install a PW patch?? Constantly stating "Error - Retry in 2 seconds' for the entire time. Your kidding right?
    You saying there is nothing wrong with the patcher and we can expect this every patch??

    Part of the problem is with the patch itself. Our engineers are working on the issue and we hope to have it resolved by the time the next patch comes out, if not sooner.

    According to some here, PWI states this every patch. Well, we shall see..

    If you are still having problems, you can help us with the patch server issues by doing the following:

    1) In XP, click on Start > click on Run > type in "cmd"
    2) On this screen type in (exactly as it is typed here): tracert 64.74.217.11
    Please note there is a space between "tracert" and "64.74.217.11"
    3) Wait until it bring a message back and a full log. Maximize (enlarge) the window as large as it will go and hopefully all of the text will be able to fit into the screen.
    4) Press Prnt Scrn (print screen) on your keyboard. Open mspaint.exe (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint)
    5) Click on the dotted line box at the top of the left menu to select a section > Click on the white space and press Ctrl+P to paste the image you grabbed with Prtn Scrn
    6) Save it where you can find it, as a .JPG image. Take that image and send it to our ticketing system (http://support.perfectworld.com/ticketing)and let us know it is a "trace route log"
    7) We take the logs and crunch the info through the engineers and get them crackin on the patch issues!

    I was just informed this is still Beta...

    You should state this someplace on the website or game welcome screen.

    Being a beta tester on many game I can give this a wide berth in putting up with stuff.

    I was under the impression this was a public release (final version).

    yea, I have been updating all day...but i'm not going to quit on the second day...took me 21 hours it said total (i stopped it over night, i don't like my computer on that long) and i installed it..and played for 15 minutes and my pc would freeze and i'd have to restart it, happened 3 times, i'm hoping that after i got rid of some stuff on my computer that this wouldn't happen...it didn't on the other game...so i'll wait for this to finish updating...or the manual patch cause i used that before this recent update...

    After 18 Hours I finally got the auto=patch down for Game 12

    Logged in twice...NOW says
    "Update Server Under Maintenence , Please do try again later"

    WTF?? What the hell is wrong now?
