having trouble installing

i've downloaded it and tried to fallow steps on trouble shooter forum and i'm not far into it i have to extract it i've downloaded winrar and such but when i try to open it i get the message that i cant open it as an archive and its a .exe anyone have any suggestions to help me out?

    i noticed with the the downloader its not giving the default as .zip like its supposed to

    What operating system are you using? XP? if so 32-bit or 64-bit?
