Araneid (spiders) pets?

I was wondering why i cant find any of the 4 spiders listed in the Auction House Filter list.

I believe they start out at lvl 26 and end at lvl 29. Can anyone verify if they do exist or just arent implimented yet. If they do, what town are they by or toss the coords my way please.

    Oh, and one more thing.
    i have also been looking for an Eldergoth Archer, i have looked everywhere for one, just cant find one.
    Coords on this mob would also be appreciated. thanks = )

    dont know what its called in this version in my version the lowest ranged elder goth is elder goth marksman

    I think the archer is a lower unimplemented pet....that one you are seeking is around 20 but elder goth is like 40 something I have a lvl 70 warefox in my version...

    If you're talking about the mob that shoots quills at you, you really should get the lowest level if you're really going to train it, which is near Lost City somewhere if I remember correctly. Although I've seen people saying to use the Marksman specificially, I've always wondered why, when a lower level would have clearly superior stats, just lack skills.

    I know I've seen some Areneids, just forgot where. Try looking on a databse site maybe?

    Because the Marksman actually is ranged, while the lower level eldergoths only have close ranged attacks.

    Really? Then why is it I had quills shot at me and not attacked close range? O.o The things also always ran away and shot quills at range when my pet tried to hit them, and got chased around. The behavior is the same for all the ones I've seen up to level 40 in MY. Here too.

    I don't see the difference.....

    Unless you mean as a pet, they only start using their qulls from the Marksman up?

    Er... quills as in the hedgehog things? Because eldergoths are the gorilla things that have a rock throwing animation.

    Oh yea, I get them two confused cause they like to hang out together a lot, sorries. Well I know there's lower levels of both (Pretty sure theres some near Plume mixed around with each other, and also Lost if I really remember correctly), and there's low level gorillas and low level quill things in other places. Please, enlighten me as to why people choose the Markasman specifically, and not lower level ones

    Yeah. The lower level eldergoths at elf city (at least the level 10 ones I fought) have on range, and are only melee. I think the sharpshooters or the marksmen are the only ones with range, and one of the two is preferred because they have a lower initial level =o

    And where would you find the sharpshooters/marksmen?

    I am level 20 now and so if I can get them I will, just for some variety :D

    What Lloth is asking is for a Eldergoth Archer, which is level 24 and IS tameable. I've seen a Venomancer with it so I know it exists. Again, Eldergoth ARCHER, NOT Marksman, is what she's asking.

    I've explored almost every area that I can go to on the map and I couldn't find it myself, so if someone knows it where it is, it would be very helpful for the rest of us :)

    Edit: And of course the tameable Araneid monster coords would be helpful aswell :)

    No tameable spiders are in game, as far as I know. I would also venture a guess to say the eldergoth archer isn't in the game either, as I've yet to see it, either through someone using it or even just in the wild. If it was in the game though, it would be better than a marksman once leveled, yes.

    And there's no need to start acting that way towards us. We know she asked about archers, but it was already answered in the post directly underneath it. Please read the entire thread before you start patronizing people.

    I wasn't patronizing, I was simply saying Archer is what she means, not Marksman, which is what some thought Lloth was referring to :p

    Archers do infact exist in PW International, I've seen it as someone's pet, like I said in my first post. I've only seen one though, but I'm 100% sure it was an Archer, and not any other Eldergoth

    I also believe that the Archer is in the game. Though it is likely in a more secluded area, and/or perhaps only exists in small numbers.

    It is listed on the database with a link to a description of the pet egg as well. Though the database provides no coords.

    And also under the Exists column there is a '-' suggesting it is uncertain whether it exists or not. Perhaps it was removed in an update at some point ???

    I would also like to have these coords if anyone happens to come across it.

    Type in Eldergoth and hit Search

    It will bring up several columns listing the finds related to Eldergoths.

    Scroll down to the Monsters heading, this lists the various types of Eldergoths and here you find a column which says Exists. A dash to me means neither yes or no, suggesting it's existence is undetermined.

    i searched pw database and found the location of lvl19 arachnoid poisontail which i believe is a spider (not sure as there are also scorpions there), it is just north of silk ridge. check it out if u want.

    EDIT: wait wasn't thinking, it will be a scorpion as it said poisonTAIL spiders don't have tails, my bad

    On the ranged pets, the skills you start with, make you run up to the enemy. Only the Normal attack is ranged. I unlearned my skills on my marksman.

    Not in-game. There's a number of tameables with no spawn points.
