Where do you get te best equips?

Another noob question from me. Where do you get those 2-3 star equips with all those stat bonuses. Also, is crafting an item better than buying it from the blacksmith or is it just cheaper?

    It is cheaper if you have the materials anyway, it is usually better because of stats and added bonuses and it gives the chance of making a 2 or 3 star item which you never get by buying from Blacksmith.

    You get the 2-3 star equips from drops, or by crafting. Both is random.

    I made some 3 star swords for my blademaster that even have the blue glow by crafting. Sold my fb 19 weapon since the swords were so much better.

    Celestial Sage Venomancer Zoe - 100
    Sage Barbarian Malego - 91

    Crafted weapons are always better than npc. You have a chance to make 1, 2, or 3-star weapons. The stats are better on crafted weapons.
    You have a chance to get good weapons from normal drops too.
    When you do your fb19 dungeon quest, you get a nice weapon reward from the elder also.
    Beyond that I don't know too much yet.

    As a note, only 1 stars drop from monsters. 3 stars can drop from bosses. 2 stars don't drop anywhere, and can only be crafted.

    Correction: A couple of days I received a 2 star item from a normal mob.

    I guarantee you right now that two star items don't drop =/

    You might get them as mission rewards, but unless the PWI mods have changed the drop databases for whatever reason (which I view as highly unlikely) then they won't drop.

    Dropped from Gilded Princess or Auric Bondmaiden, one of the two. This is possibly a bug though, as Auction Hall lists this particular robe as a 2 star, rather than 1 star like the rest of them.

    Checking at a tailor... a one star has the exact same defenses as the item you posted. So yeah. It's a graphics bug. A two star would have higher defenses.

    I guess because it was a graphics bug though, I shouldn't have been so quick to offend with my statements. You couldn't have known it was a graphics bug, so for all appearances a two star HAD dropped for you. :x

    Those are bugged armors. They are suppose to be 1star but a glitch shows them as 2star. An example is Robes of the Cosmos. No matter what, you will NEVER find a 1star version of it in PWI unless they fix it. When it drops from a mob, it will always be a 2star unless it's a boss 3star drop. You can even go the Tailor and buy the 2star robe.

    By the way, those 2 stars are 1 star quality, just an extra graphical star displayed.
