Alt + tabbing on this game is impossible? or am i the only one having this problem?
whenever i alt + tab , i can get back in the game but i cant click anywhere, cause its drops me back to the desktop. The cursor stays on the desktop when you alt + tab.
Maybe the devs can fix this?

I'm having this problem, too. I noticed that it's been reported six times already, too in the bug thread.
I'm hoping it'll get fixed next patch, along with the hyperspeed bug as well.
    *edit*
I was able to fix both of these bugs from searching this forum. The information really should be put in a sticky, though since it comes up so much.
For fixing the Alt + tab bug, install eastern asian language support.
Fox fixing the hyperspeed bug, it's most likely you're running an AMD chipset, so download the optimization from their website.

My son can ALT TAB on his laptop, I however can not on my PC, I'm thinking it's due to my dual monitors ala DVI....

I get the same alt tab / mouse issue... also, when I'm in game, I can move my mouse to my second monitor as if in windowed mode, BUT, if I interact with anything on my second screen, I get the mouse failure again...

I will try ALT + ESC when next in game... to further expand on my previous post...

I'm on a dual DVI monitor set up.. I cannot ALT + TAB. My son is on a laptop, and he CAN ALT + TAB.. my girlfriend is on a PC, single monitor, and CANNOT ALT + TAB. The 'cannot's all yield the dead in-game mouse-click-game needs a kill and restart= unplayable until done.

So, it's NOT dual monitors as I suspected. One thing to note: on my Dual monitor system, my mouse can exit the game monitor to my windows display, and back over, NO problem until I interact with a windows item however. I do NOT play in windowed mode, so it's as it the non-windowed mode does NOT lock up the mouse for the game as it should.

Essentially, the mouse ACTS like windowed mode, but click once in windows, mouse gone, gotta kill game, and restart.

GeForce 8600 GTS w/ 512 MB.. latest nVidia drivers as of say 3 months ago?

I can do a dxdiag output if I see a dev in this thread......

Have you tried installing the East Asian Language files?

Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Language tab > check box for Install Files for East Asian Languages (you may need your Windows disk).

This has solved the problem for a lot of people, so give it a go.

ALT+TAB doesn't always work well for some games on PCs.

PWI handles it using something from the East Asian Language pack (since the game was made in China, in Chinese originally), and it apparently helps those who have those issues.

Also, running the game in windowed mode helps some users if they can't install the language pack, or don't have an original windows disc (like on some new PCs that don't come with one).
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

Nothing is strange when it comes to computers :D I can think of so many things I've done that should not have worked but did lol.

Installing a language pack fixes this issue because the issue is the install. Once you have installed the game, if you update certain parts of windows, either a mouse driver or visual driver, it no longer recognizes the games layout as a mouse drop over.
If you are having this problem, move your mouse to the top left corner of the screen. Does the mouse change to the PW mouse again? When you click do you run to the bottom Right corner?
Installing the language packs should work, the game will detect another issue and resolve it no problem, should it not. You can re-install the game and everything will be fine.
Any 3D Application will have this problem, very few programs are made in conjunction with Alt+tab support.
For those that cared about the reasoning.... =P

    Cheers;
