Hi all. I am new to Perfect World. During the past 2 days, I've been debating over which character suits me best. I thought to myself that I want a character that is simple, easy to train and level, fun all-around, and a solo type. I was looking at the game guide on the homepage and I ran into WereFox. It looked interesting because it differs from many other MMORPGs I've played in the past. After realizing that it's only a female class, I didn't want it anymore.

The classes that I'm really looking forward to right now are: Blademaster, Barbarian (Werebeast), and Winged Elf Archer.

I wanted a character that can fight and deal great if not decent damage. That's why I'm not planning on getting a Cleric because they rely on parties to train. I have little knowledge about the Wizard. I've heard from some guides that they are very costly in mana and most of their spells burn out mana really fast. If someone has something else to say about the Wizard class, I'll be very appreciated.

I recently finished donwloading and installing the game and have tested it for about 15 minutes. The game is really nice and it runs smoothly. I was testing out the Winged Elf Archer and its fly feature. It was a blast. I haven't tested the Blademaster nor the Barbarian yet because I have homework to finish first.

Here are a few questions that I want to confirm about certain classes:
1. Barbarian deals the weakest damage compared to Blademaster and Winged Elf Archer?

2. Which is more towards the PvP area, Blademaster or Winged Elf Archer?

3. Of the 3 classes mentioned, which is the worst to solo?

4. Is Winged Elf Archer a more expensive class than Blademaster and Barbarian?

5. If you had to choose 1 of the 3 classes I have displayed, which will you choose?

I want to thank you guys so much for taking your time to read this thread. I hope I am not asking too much from you guys. You guys don't have to answer all of my concerns if you don't want to. Again, THANKS!

-Michael :)

    1. yes.

    2. archer for sneak attacks.

    3. barbarian - kills slowly, needs party (gets invited to loads of parties on upside).

    4. archer is more expensive later.

    5. archer or blademaster (bm is pretty decent at soloing, gets less party invites than archer or barb).

    1. Yes

    2. Both, depends if the player plays the character right, if I'm fighting with a archer I switch to spear, first thing I do is cast both my bleed skills *they are range skills* and both bleed skills stack, then continuously stun the archer, if the archer is running away just use Cloud Sprint and Leap, if the archer fly's, then run away and lure him/her on ground, unless you have a flying sword that's faster than the archers wings. But once you get pro with blademaster you should be able to keep archers stunned through the whole battle and the archer wont even get a chance to hit you once.

    3. Barbarian is worst to solo

    4. After lvl 60 yes

    5. Blademaster

Thanks a lot guys for the help! That eliminates the Barbarian class (despite the fact that it looks cool when riding on creatures).

I'm using BladeMaster right now and I'm having a blast. Instantaneous skill casting is really fun.

Clerics are great for parties, but that doesn't mean they're party dependant. Clerics can be great soloers, and deal a lot of damage (more than a venomancer, but less than a mage). They have physical and magical attacks, making them useful against robe users and heavy users. I'm pointing this out because in PW, clerics aren't only healers. They're great damage dealers too, and have some useful debuffs.

I can't see how this isn't damage dealing:

Lvl 10 Tempest (Ultimate Cleric DD skill)

Focus all of your energy to cast down countless thunder bolts at the target and enemies within a 12.0 meter radius around it, inflicting Metal damage equal to your base magic damage plus 400% of weapon damage plus 9337.1. Has a 95% chance to cause a 8.0 second reduction in speed of 60%.
