Private Server

A separate server primarily for Installing game. I know that i am thinking about not playing the game anymore. (haven't even started yet) Because installing game takes ages and ages. I have played other games that are kinda like this one. Basically free, but for extras you got to pay, and they have their own server that people download and install games from. Since this will only be used for installing and downloading the server won't need to be as massive. The reason for that is no one is installing/downloading game 24/7. I am not asking for a server that will speed up the time to where it takes a few minutes, but at least have it big enough to shave off a few thousand hours. Yes I said thousand. My installation is going to take roughly 25,000 hours to complete at a speed of 22 bytes a minute. Heck it would only cost you guys few hundred dollars or something. I am not sure how much servers cost. I understand that this is a free game and you only make money when people buy products, but I am sure there are plenty of people who feel the same way.

    Support but I dunno cos it is illegal... But if this is gonna be the only MMORPG that will allow it then sure :D But other things like Monsters and stuff like that will cost.

    The installation/update server IS a different server than the game servers. If your download is that massively slow, the problem is on your end, not the servers. I'd recommend posting the problem on the technical support forum.

    How can it be my end? This is a brand spankin new laptop. With fast internet connection. i have also already posted it on tech board with no luck.

    260 Kbps is how fast it is in Kansas, and 404 Kbps in cali but it changes a lot. oh I also am pauseing and restarting install because it goes a bit faster when i do that, but only for a short while. few secs.

    i only have a 30kb/s connection in Australia and i have no problems with any of that stuff. however, it did take awhile to download. like 25 hours but i just leave my computer on while i'm doing other things.

    btw i think its worth the wait ; )

    Here's what I got:

    From approx. where I live (Portland, ME) to LA:

    Download Speed: 717 kb/s
    Upload Speed: 402 kb/s

    The game download made me download overnight, but I got it all just fine.

    Well I got it done after i amde a program that would pause and resume download every 10 seconds. i did this because when you pause and resume it goes a lot faster for a short period of time. like 1mb per sec. Made things go a lot faster. Now, is there a way i can transfer the extraxted files to another computer? Over the web?
