Hey there!

I got a strange bug to report. After i playing pw for some time the game starts to "speed up". Some Mod told me it has to be lag but the following fact let me think otherwise.

- Restarting my pc fixes bug (till it returns after some time)
- i CAN move with tapping wasd keys (see video description)

I made a video to show you guys it can't have anything to do with lags.

http://www.mprcrew.de/files/Video_0.avi

Video description:

As you can see, I try to move away from the spot by pressing the w key but i am resetted everytime probably because of too high speed. (?) As i land i start tapping the w key. You can see that with that technique i can move around slowly...

Any suggestions? This bug annoys me very much :/

edit:

i did another video to show the speed animations:

http://www.mprcrew.de/files/Video_1.avi

This happens after i restart perfect world. To get rid of the bug for a random amount of time, i need to restart my pc. I really have no clue whatsoever.

edit2:

rig:

Nvidia GeForce 7950 GT
AMD Athlon dual core 4200+ (both)
2 GB infineon ram

I use Refreshlock and/or Reforce to force my fps to 100 in first person shooters. I thought it had sth to do with it, but disabling did not help here.

PW is a bit incompatibile with new processors as far as I know, probably you will have to disable one core or what?
But well, I didn't experience it cuz I have old computer...
Maybe someone else will help you more...

AMD multi-core processors need drivers to play some games correctly. You can get the drivers here (it's the dual core optimizer).

The main problem is that the cores do not automatically sync, so one core will run faster than the other. Windows Update supplies the drivers for Intel, but you have to get the AMD one by yourself.

Dont have any solution for you but can say there have been quite a few other posts regarding this issue (dont know if they had any resolution).

Think people were calling it "rubber banding."
