problem updating

well the dl and installation went w/out problems...patched...and now it needs to "update"....and it seems that "elements.data" can't be updated because it is perma frozen on that piece of the updating....can anyone offer assistance?

    I am also having the problem with the update, never gets past tasks.data. I have never played this game before, just downloaded it today, I was hoping to get to play tonight, but it doesn't seem like I am going to be able to.

    well i had problems w/ task.data when i downloaded it from the perfectworld.com/my site, uninstalled, installed the one from this site, now having probs w/ the element.data....hopefully someone will help soon

    Same here, just delete the file you are having problems with and restart the patching process. I had to do this twice, once with the elements file then with the tasks file. Both problem files can be found in your \perfect_world\element\data folder. The two files i had to delete are called elements.data and tasks.data.

    Log files gives the following error:

    2008/9/14 17:21:52Download file=./data/elements.data
    2008/9/14 17:25:47Verify files fails

    2008/9/14 17:55:58Download file=./data/tasks.data
    2008/9/14 17:57:01Decompress files fails

    download the game using the direct download button. and then when/if it gets done updating, click verify and i think that should help getting the game completely updated...if not then idk.

    well i went in and deleted the two files but now it's still stoping on the tasks.data.....
