    My update also kept getting file errors, just let it resume and keep going at it, it should eventually go through.

    This will take you to version 5 and so far the only update that I've been able to complete.

    Just download it (no account needed) and then click open when done to unzip it. Make sure you got a program to unzip it. If not go to www.7zip.com and download that. It's what I used and it is also free with no account needed to get it. Then open up the game and make sure you turn off the automatic update. If you have it on go to update settings and turn it off and restart the game. Once it's back up then click manual and find the patch wherever you installed it on your computer. It will update from there. Then, restart your game again and it will complete the updating process and you'll have version 8. I hope this works because it took me a week to get it to finally update.
