Finding groups in PW = Impossible?

Hi guys, I know this sounds like a whine post, and, well, it is in a way, but I need to know something here:

Do those of you playing already in groups and guilds know most of the others you play with irl or something? I've noticed a disturbing trend in the game, in which 99.9% of the people in game refuse to talk to me at all.

Case in point: I got from the Elder two quests: Gate to the Dark Lands, and a token for Call to Duty: Xenobeast. After spending an entire day LFG with absolutely NO replies at all, I decided to simply give up. I guess I'm wondering what the deal is, as I've not made any enemies, I've not made any bad remarks or anything to "**** off the crowd", etc. Hell, I've only been playing a few days and the social atmosphere here seems a bit.....lacking.

It's impossible to make friends with players and possibly gain a guild opportunity if the majority of the playerbase is antisocial.

    I think you need to join a guild. You will begin to see that ppl tend to do everything within a guild and do not need outside players to help them nor do they help outside players as often.

    I have to agree, you will notice that in this game guilds (Factions) mean EVERYTHING. You simply can't survive in this game without being in one.

    True. Join a guild and make ingame friends. They will sure help you as real life friends do.

    I dont have rl friends in this game either(yet). I have no problem doing fb quests so far.

    yea u do need to be in a faction to do anything, make friends in ur guild just talking random **** while they talk back to u,
    i tend not to party with any1 not in my guild unless i realy need help on a quest or its a boss
    what also gets anoying is when some ppl party with u they will simply sit there and expect u to do the kills, or they will follow u around and only attack what u hit which can get anoying imo,

    also some people dont want to party up while doing quests simply cos they dont want there exp cut in 1/2 which is a reason why i barly party with any1 but guildies =/

    actually its been the opposite for me. ive had no problem finding groups and im always getting random invites when other players see me doing a quest that might be the same one as theirs.

    If you got a FB quest then its easy to get groups for it.

    If you have a hard time getting it, then get someone with a "speaker" to ask for group to the FBxx quest you have.

    I know it sux that we have to spend real money to ask other players for help... :mad:

    Admittedly when I got the FB19 quests it did take a short while to find a group, but I found one none the less, all I had to do was stand in the middle of town and say it :/ Are you on the PvP server? Because normally people are too competative over there so you can't really expect people to talk to you... But yeah best way to move forward would be to find a guild :D

    i got the same problem. most people been willing to add me to parties when their helping someone else with same quests, but i gotta wait abit.

    i been waiting roughly 11 hours now to complete the quests in gate of delirium, i asked around archosaur, i waiting inside to see if anyone would come, i created a chat room, i even bought a trumpet and asked on world chat but nobody was able to help.

    i'll probably wait a few more hours and try again tomorrow :/
