New and Wondering What's Wrong

Hello everyone,

Well i'm new too this game, And just wondering a few things..

Ok, well i downloaded the game.. Extracted, And installed it correcty i believe,

Well when i run the game, The game screen comes up, Seems to load fast, And then does nothing.. Just a fully loaded screen with nothing but a picture of the game as the background.

but the curser is still moving and stuff... I try to alt+tab outta it, Nothing happens, Just freezes.. So i have to always restart my computer from holding down the power switch.

There's nothing wrong with my PC, I just got it not too long ago.. Its really fast and in good shape, So i have no clue whats wrong --.--

So can someone maybe help me out please and thank you.

    hmm, you're right, it may be a corrupted install.

    there's a really nifty file verification feature on the launcher, try using that and hopefully it'll fix the damage file(s).

    if it doesn't work you may want to reinstall/download

    Hmmm, I'm not sure.. I even tried downloading PW ( Not the international version ) And it still loads up fast, then goes into a black screen and does nothing =/

    no it just sounds like one of the flaws in vista, lol one of my friends has vista and he says he hates it and has problems with almost all games

    Sounds like your friend is a computer country pumpkin.

    @coryownz

    If you have Vista x64 bit, i suggest switching to Vista x86 (32 bit), because x64bit Vista isn't really all that for the games, especially the old-er ones like Perfect World.

    My screen settings are on (32 bit) Medium (16 bit)

    If thats what your talking about ( I don't know a lot about Vista since i've always hated it )

    But ima try and redownload it, update it, And try it out again:o

    It's about the version of the Vista (the OS or operating system you have installed in your computer), it can be either "x64" (64bit) or "x86" (32bit). You want the latter, x86 Vista. I've been successfully been using it since it came out, never had any problems with x86 version.

    I suggest you get the Service Pack 1 as well for it on the Microsoft pages or wherever you can get if from :P
    It patches quite a lot of things :)

    I run vista 64bit ultimate and have not had any problems whatsoever running the game.
