faces in popup are different than they appear

what is with this?
like everyone i see has the same face as everyone else
but when u click on them
the popup shows a completely original face
whats going on?
its weird
and a plus is that my distance for viewing other people is really limited
like i can see their name
but i cant see the character body until it goes within 3 feet of me..
wtf is going on!!!!

yes my distance is on MAX...

    i think there is an option where all the character customizations are put 2 default,
    and when u go 2 ur options there is a distance bar thingy, u should put that 2 the highest so u could see others from far away.
    i have had that distance problem before, but not the character thing so if im wrong someone plz correct me

    He already said his distance was on max.

    It actually kinda sounds more like a graphics card/GC compatibility issue. Unfortunately, I really don't know enough about graphics cards to make any real conjectures. My settings are mostly default (lowest settings except for draw distance) and I've never encountered such a problem. Maybe its a 3D issue? Hard to tell...

    settings..... and go to the one with alot of ticking... near system tab.... and tick show char customization.... and disable distance setting for character view, idiot

    your disance of background and offline content is on max, while the other one isnt

    yes my distance is on MAX...
    go to system settings
    in the UI panel, check proxy visual and distance - set this to max

    also enable character customizations

    The only real issue is that your char customization setting was turned off. This saves on some bandwidth for dialup users but makes everyone apear identical.

    In the game option, make sure "Show others customisation" (or something like that) is activated.

    There is a setting near where your character information is displayed (hp, mp, etc) called "Show/Hide players outside the range limit", if that is green then you will only see the players in your immediate vicinity.

    As for everyone looking the same, go to System Settings and in the UI tab I think the option you want to have checked there is Customizations. Should enable you to see everyone's individual faces.
