Pet raising, selling, statistics

Hello everyone! :D
I adore pets in the Perfect World. I love catching them and raising them. That's why I created this thread. Since i'm lvl 2x i'm raising pets up to lvl 25. So if anyone needs a pet to be raised up to lvl 25, please pm me here or in the game. My nick is Hani and HaniBani. We can talk about money depending on what you need. Since I'm raising my pets to see which one is better, at the same time I'll be putting pet statistics here for everyone else who might not need pet raising.

Working on this project: hanibani & jadeserpent

The relative statistics should be more or less the same on other levels, meaning that if mob A overpowers mob B at level 15, it will also do so at level 10, 20, 25 and other lvls. You decide which is the best fit for you. ;)

You can find pet locations, starting lvls and types here: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=615732&posted=1

PS. sorry if i'm in some of the pictures in fox form. It's because i couldn't get away from the pet. xD

Could you test the lowest level Undine (I think lowest is around Elf Capital) and post it here please? If you want money for getting food for it to 999%, PM me for my character details please. I don't feel comfortable putting my character up yet, since the level is low.

Fyi, mihai, I believe what Hani is doing is basically offering to show the other pets that aren't as common, for those wandering what their stats are compared to X pet of X level.

As a somewhat new Venomancer myself, having only played a few days now on PWI, is there a list available of pets. levels, and their damage types? As I am trying to get a set up where I have one of each type to allow me to switch depending on the mob.

Thank you for this info, it will help me out when going for new pets to add to my menagerie :D

I think you still can, just change your name back to just your Nick, and the forum should recognise you as your other self again. If not, well, that's a glitch in the forum, not recognising people as the same acount after displayed name changes, and should be fixed. That FAQ is gonna need to be edited over time, and not being able to edit it is really really bad......

Hiya new player who's got a spare Veno character with what I thought was a poor pet choice. It seems clear that you can unequip pets but I haven't figured out how. If I can get rid of the existing pets and you're willing to share your testing methodology, I am interested in contributing to this project.

Currently the spare is level 10 and I see you haven't gotten the Cactopod or Ogre Blossom families listed. I'd like to help lighten your work load by tackling those (or anything else you suggest). I can keep myself funded for providing the feed for the pets. I'd like to know loyalty benchmarks for testing purposes though and at what levels you take 'stat snapshots' so I can provide good data ; )

While you are right, some people like trying out different pets from what everyone else has, hense the reason for doing this. Maybe a person (such as myself) will see a pet they never thought about using and use it instead.

Question.. Which would have better stats my sharptooth wolfling which I got with the quest and have raised till level 22 or the darkbreed wolfkin that i caught (lvl 18) and raised to level 22

Also, I see all these people using the golems, but what bothers me about them is their size. I can hardly see where I am clicking with that big thing in my face all the time. What smaller pets have similar stats (if any)?

Some things don't exactly add up... If mob A overpowers mob B at 10 it does NOT mean that it will at 50.... Growth rates vary per mob. Check out the wiki I'm working on atm to find out how:
http://www.iperfectworld.com/wiki/index.php/Venomancer_Pets. It is DEFINITELY a work in progress as I have time to work on it. I'll also be filling out the data for all mobs as well on their individual pages. If anyone wants to help out on the Wiki, be sure to create an account on the forum and sign up. =)
Only thing I can't figure out so far is the atk... And the regen/speed growths I haven't had a chance to put in yet from the data.

The tiers are based off the in-game graph. If you look at it, you can see 7 separate tiers for the stats. My chart has the growth rate per level for each of those tiers. So as you can see, you can calculate the stats for any mob at any level based on the ratings. And from the data, a Crystalline Magmite with base stats and growth tiers of HP 5 / P Def 7 / M Def 2 / Acc 1 / Eva 2 :

    lv 17
    HP: 562
    P Def: 1492
    M Def: 995
    Acc: 259
    Eva: 192

    lv32 (Random arbitrary level)
    HP: 1049
    P Def: 2992
    M Def: 1995
    Acc: 484
    Eva: 347

    lv 40
    HP: 1309
    P Def: 3792
    M Def: 2528
    Acc: 604
    Eva: 447

    lv 70
    HP: 2284
    P Def: 6792
    M Def: 4528
    Acc: 1054
    Eva: 781

Sorry... But.. The golem is gonna be your best bet as far as the physical damage tanking goes. So you'll just have to deal with its huge size. There ARE things that come close...

As for your wolves... The Sharptooth will be better overall. Here is a little example of the stats though:
    Sharptooth Growth Tiers: HP 3 / P Def 2 / M Def 3 / Acc 5 / Eva 4 / Atk 5
    Darkbreed Growth Tiers: HP 4 / P Def 4 / M Def 3 / Acc 4 / Eva 4 / Atk 4

From that... You can expect to see the Sharptooth overpowering the Darkbreed in the stats that count for DD'ing (Acc/Atk).

When they're both at 40 you should expect to see:
    Sharptooth HP - 1149 P Def - 2628 M Def - 2891 Acc - 905 Eva - 557 Atk - ???
    Darkbreed HP - 1205 P Def - 3025 M Def - 2773 Acc - 803 Eva - 535 Atk - ???

And the distances will just continue to separate for those where one has a higher growth over the other. You'll see margins of 2.5 hp per level, 13 1/3 P Def per level, 1 2/3 Acc per level, and like I said I'm not 100% on the formulas for atk yet.

Well... This post has become much longer than I had originally anticipated... Sooo.... I'll see ya'll later. =)

    Hi,

The first pet the pet trainer has you tame is the wolf( i forget his name, Sharptooth, maybe,) anyways, he is now level 20, and has done a great job for me thus far but will this cease to be the case as I reach higher levels? Is this why I should have a Golem instead? Now what do I do with my wolf, just trash him?

    b:thanks

Sorry found the answer to first question, so excuse the Title

Just started a veno yesterday and got it to 20. So i have 2 pet spots... what if I want 3 pets? Can I turn the wolf into an egg and it retain its level and stats till I need to swap it out for my sawfly? Cause im using a wolf, a golem, and have a sawfly egg but dont want to try using it unless I know I can turn the wolf into an egg and later hatch it again so its the same as before.

Those low lvl turtles and tortoises can tank mobs 20 lvls higher than them.
I took my lvl 36 tortoise to lvl 57 mobs with a friend and it didn't die even once (wish I could say the same lmao). My undine wench of same lvl was pwned even by the magic mobs.

i really want a pet undine to use underwater, does anyone know the name and level of the lowest level undine?

i know theres corageous and virtious undine, but those are land undines, i need water.

its been really hard to find this information, please post a reply ^^'

The Undine Wench which can be found in the river going away from Archosaur. Watch out for the higher level Undines and the big fish. I believe it's level 32/33 as well; not sure considering there are 3 tameable Undine mobs in the same area.

The file is a project in progress now with Charts! yay OpenOffice! :)

I have run a comparison between various pets that I use like wolves, giant ant, beetle, golem etc which may interest others.

The Lvl 28 results can be seen at: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=1701711#post1701711

Comparison report first appeared on Argosy faction website at:

Veno can only learn "Tame Pet" through a quest gived at lv7. Homever, did you do the quest gived at lv3 to learn "Pet Heal", "Pet Revive" and either a wolf or scorpion pet?

Don't worry, we were all newbie at some point, I myself only learned Tame Pet around lv12 when I finally understood how the quest worked.b:laugh
