dear devs,

whenever I use petite sawfly on the ground and send it off to fight those ugly mean monsters you created, it seems to get stuck whenever theres a slight elevation change. I do not like to see my lil sawfly stuck on a little hill 3 inches high while the monster continues to shoot its ranged missiles into my werefox's body, obliterating her.

fix it please.

thanks.

Yeah, that been an annoying problem even back on PW-MY. PW-Bejing are the only people who can fix it, and I imagine they are well aware of the bug.
Flying and sending your pet down to them works around the problem, unless they are ru-away obs, in which case I just use my golem and save the frustration.

Wait till you get to the swamp, and the golem isnt an option.

Well its not a true answer to the question but if i see a hill that is going to cause a problem just jump first before attacking and the sawfly will fly down from your jump height.

The thing is air pets where never intended to be used on the ground, so no one bothered to code them pathfinding. There is no obstacles in the air after all.

The best/only solution is to use your flying mount and atack the monsters from the air - just be ready for lots of spam pm's about you cheating and going to get banned from uninformed other classes.

Which is why they made sure to change the pet's damage type based on where the player is standing... because they didn't expect you to use air pets while standing on the ground.

The BEST solution is to make a macro which presses Alt+2 (pet follow) then Alt+1 (pet attack). This will shake the pet off the ground, although it might just get stuck again. Use this macro to engage new enemies prior to attacking, and set your pet to Defensive.

There is a reason why exist land, fly and water pets, use them in right place and won't be any problems :))

yea yea it fly's and its for air..Well I still didn't want a garden plow either. Even land mobs don't dig a hole to china.
But some good advice in here thanx alot. Will try some of these tactics out and hopefully get lvl's. The thing is in every forum this is a great pvp pet if trained right.
Thats impossible if all you have to do is run to a few blades of grass. The Phoenix doesn't do this.

Maybe a DEV or GM could mention something here as well. Thanx all for the replies.

Against players, a pet's damage is halved after PvP DR is taken into account. It's hard to tell because of the 75% PvP DR, but it's there.

The game doesn't support that type of macro.
