bow or xbow??

    Better to use a bow or crossbow..crossbow looks way better but maybe im missing something.

    Both have advantages, and since you can use either proficiently, it may be advisable to use whatever has highest damage for your level.

    Bow
    Minimum damage: Medium
    Maximum damage: Medium
    Attack speed: Medium
    Range: Medium

    Crossbow
    Minimum damage: Low
    Maximum damage: High
    Attack speed: Low
    Range: High

    Slingshot
    Minimum damage: Medium
    Maximum damage: Medium
    Attack speed: High
    Range: Low

    jwren i think you messed up on the slingshot speed or im understanding the weapon info wrong because the attck speed thing is measured in time til next hit like bow is fastest then xbow and last slingshot

    and on topic carry all three make sure you can waste the cash and see what you like about each type i myself prefer the bow and slingshot cuz i like heavy dmg (slingshot) and the speed (bow)

    i like to keep a melee weapon as its pointless to keep firing arrows at melee range where all range weapon dmg is practically halved

    I think you messed up. I think Speed is measured in attacks per second. For instance some swords attack .91 times a second (54.6 times a minute) and others at 1.11 (66.6 times a minute)
    But please correct me if I am wrong.

    dude remember i also said i may be understanding it wrong too.

    but remember to keep on topic here too as its really stupid if all you do i correct a poster here who is at least trying to help the main poster (kimahris)

    on topic if your confused just use bow as some quests (important ones so watch out for for those) will reward you with a pretty neat bow that deals more dmg then the standard blacksmith bows plus if your real lucky it will have a couple of good bonuses on it

    like mine has +30 hp and +6 phys dmg increase

    It depends on your playstyle. I started with bow but only started to really enjoy the game and grinding when I got the fb19 xbow. Haven't stopped using xbow's since.

    yes but u also have to figure tht how much time it takes to get an atk off. like for sling shot. if u do 2 atk to xbows 1. u will do more dmg then xbow... it just all depends on the spd and dmg for tht one. just because a weapon has higher dmg then another doesn't mean it will do more dmg. both dmg and speed play a part in the total dmg xD

    Range doesn't change with the bow.

    Crossbow is better for PK while slingshot is better for grinding / leveling.

    O.O Tell me how slingshot is better cuz I haven't used one. I might use one later just so I'll know what it's like~
