PW blocks my MSN Sounds...

Yeah...

When playing Perfect World, if i am full screen... and i got MSN/Windows Live messenger running...


If someone sends a nudge/message or whatever... I dont hear it...

Why? can i fix this?

    Lol, because msn has a setting "when other fullscreen apps run set my status to "busy" "

    and in "busy" status the sounds are disabled automatic. So play windowed or turn of that option.

    Nope, that setting is off..i always had it off cuz i knew it block and set me busy when full screen is ran

    Can any PW mod or someone tell me how to fix it? I would like to be able to hear when my girlfriend sends me a message or someone else while im playing, and i dont wanna play window mode.

    Its obviousley not PW that *blocks* ur msn sounds. If i turn my msn sounds on they work fine. Soemthing is up with your msn I think.

    Probably has something to do with your sound card/drivers and your selected audio playback engine.

    If it's busy playing other sounds (like in a game) it likely won't play any others. Try setting a different sound format as notification on messages being received. Maybe pick a midi file, or a .wav or something and see if that makes any difference.
