I am having a few problems..

As I have stated numerous times in the safety lock thread, I have been having major problems with it. I am going to explain my problems one last time and then offer a solution, if it doesn't work, then I am going to delete this game. When I first started playing Perfect World, my lock was already in effect, cannot remember for how long exactly, but I set the time to one minute and a minute later, I was able to do other things with the lock no longer in effect.

I log out and log in the next day to find the lock in effect again, so I make a mistake and set the time to 24 hours believing that is how long the lock will be unlocked because it just kept turning itself back on somehow. The thing is, I didn't even know anything of the lock in the first place and wouldn't have messed with it if everything hadn't been disabled, but I know I screwed up on my part. After trying to get support from a in-game GM they direct me to this forum and to e-mail support, which I have done already. I figured I would make another topic explaining my idea if it is possible.

What I am thinking is maybe I could have this current account deleted and then make another because I know multiple accounts aren't allowed. The reason I want to try this is because I have already tried making two different characters and the lock was still applied from the beginning. If the lock cannot be undone, I would at least like to try making another count, the right way without breaking any rules or such. If you have a better idea then by all means explain to me what it is. I can't simply stay logged in 24 hours as the server was shutdown yesterday with only 3 hours to go on the lock. The time reverts back to 24 hours each time I log out and log back in. I can't wait 3 days because I have been trying for 3 days now and nothing has changed. My computer just seems to log me out at times too, so I don't really know what else to do. Any support would be appreciated, I am getting irritated about this but I am trying to resolve the problem, but the solutions I am being given are simply not going to work. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum as well, wasn't exactly sure where this should go.

    To remove the lock set the timer to 1 minute. After doing that, do not touch it for 3 days. Every time you try and reset the time, the count down for the 3 day period resets.

    I know that, but it has been 3 days since I have touched the lock.. blah.

    I do not know if you have to wait for the full 24 hours you have set to transpire before you can set the time to 1 minute. What I posted above is the only way you can reduce the time of the lock, you cannot remove it completely... if that is what you are asking.

    Yeah, I know everybody just keeps telling me to wait the 24 hour then 3 day periods but it simply does not work. My idea was to have this account deleted then I could make another so I wouldn't be breaking any rules by having "multiple accounts." The reason I wanted to try this was because most people I have talked to haven't had a problem with the lock at all and it was never applied for them in the first place.

    The only other option I can suggest is to send a private message to a board administrator here or send an email to customerservice@perfectworldinc.com and see what they suggest.

    I am fairly sure that you're allowed to make another account though as there are people who live together playing the game also - one account per household is not feasable, just don't try playing both of them at the same time.

    I know what you are saying. I have e-mailed them already and they just told me they couldn't do anything else about it really. They just said the only way to do it was to wait the time limit or 3 days for it to expire, which is does not work. The only reason I don't want to start another account is fear that the same thing will occur the next time I make another one.

    Then that's what you have to do, I assure you if you wait out the 24 hours, set the timer to 1 minute and come back in say... 4 days it will have reset to 1 minute.

    If you don't want the same thing to happen again with the safety lock, don't click it or try and adjust the timer. The worst that can happen is that the timer is set to 1 minute, which is no time at all to wait.

    If customer service cannot reset the timer for you, then your only other option is to make a new account. You could try reinstalling, but I am not sure that the safety lock is something client-side.
