MAJOR start up issue!

Is anyone having the same problem as me?! every time i press start on the patcher o start playing i get a reallyt weird text box that doesnt make any sense! Ive tried re-instaling the game like 4 times and no change!!

    aye im having the same problem. Its in a wierd language. if i click ok nothing happens and i have to exit the launcher to restart and i get the same message when i click on the start button.

    I click start and a weird chat box pops up with special alt-code characters... i click ok and it closes. help please?

    I'm getting the same error...sort of. Its a little different, but it's in the same formate as the picture above me. I've patched the game all the way to v16 and verified all files.

    From what I can read this is a problem with the East Asian Language Pack, install it from the Microsoft website or from your Windows CD and it should fix your problem.

    It happens to me too, just bit different. I have options to click Yes or No. I always click no.

    Try turning the textures all the way down. When you log in you can turn them back up but this fixed the problem for me. Might not be the same error (hard to tell when they all in that weird language) but you can try playing with the settings.

    Doesn't Vista support east Asian characters by default? Try starting Windows Update and see if any "language" related comes up.

    I'm running Vista Ultimate and it doesn't default the Chinese language pack. I "can" download a language pack through Windows Update.

    Seriously though, I downloaded the American/English version of the game.. WHY do I need the ability to read Chinese?! :confused:

    who ever said to change the graphics settings before you click start was right. try that. it worked for me

    none of that helped and i still dont know where to download the Language pack. Can anyone tell me where. And i dont have a vista disk. Vista was installed on this computer when i bought it. SO where can i get the languge pack or if its already on here where can i activate it??

    The Language Pack is on Windows update. I'm not sure which one but the Chinese pack I tried to download is about 700mb. It failed a Install for me. You'll need a genuine version of windows.

    The way I know to do it (on Win XP at least) is to go through Control Panel, into Regional and Language Options (helps if you're in Classic view) and then onto the Languages tab.

    There'll be an option to install East Asian Language files. You may need your Windows disk to do it.

    Otherrrrrwise, I suspect it may just be a general DirectX/Graphics driver issue, and you should try updating both of them.

    this is too much of a headache. Im updated on both my video and graphics card. I went to windows update yet there wasnt anything there for a language pack and i dont have a install disk for vista. So im not gonna waste my time anymore with this. I wish you all the best of luck and hope its a fun game later.

    everytime i try to update it stops at task and wont go wtf do i need to do
