DoTs (bleeding, actually)

I started recently to play PW, and as every mmo i play i'd like to know how the end game (pvp) works.
Todays's question is: are DoTs worth of spending SPs for pvp/pk? Im talking about bleeding skills, is bleeding dmg useful while pvping or its just for pve(or neither pve lol)?

Also, can any1 show me some end-game characters so I can see how many Hp/Mp etc. they will actually have?
A lvl 10 Piercing Winds causes 3k bleed dmgs to target, so Im guessing a high lvl character should have at least 15k Hps?

    Well you would want a high amount of health, due to the reasons you really stated.
    But, you gotta also add the fact that your enemy will be using armor, will decrease
    the dam they take. But i believe that a high level character should have a nice amount
    of health. Currently, my lv 19 Blademaster has 1040 HP, and I havnt died in game yet.

    WOW.....

    You totally skipped his question entirely and started talking about health. Sure he asked about health, but not from a lvl 19 character -__-

    Anyways, I suppose bleeding helps, that's the main thing really. It's constatly doing damage for about 15 seconds whie you're using another skill to do big damage at once. So I would say DoT skills are helpful.

    and Firkus, you kinda have a lot of HP for your level.

    Bleed skills are never bad, the MP use is minimal compared to the dmg it does for you. I've used bleed skills in WoW (Warrior) and its never done me wrong :)

    The bleed skill is very useful, if you use spears bleed skill and your first one, it stacks together and you do more DoT per second

    Just a note: bleed skill inflicts a constant dmg. This means, in the 15 seconds will make an determinated amount of dmg, no more. So if the lvl of the bleed gives a total of, for example, 1500hp drain, it will drain JUST that amount in the 15 + the normal dmg inflicted by the weapon.

    Is not a constant bleed, so, u can actually use another skill that produces the same (or more) amount of dmg instead of bleed.

    Another example:

    Aeolian Blade: 1500 hp automaticaly + weapon damage - recharge time (5 secs?)
    Bleed: 1500 "IN" 15 seconds + weapon damage - recharge time (40 secs?)

    So, in those 15 seconds u can use another skills to make more dmg.

    Is just another way to see it, I do use the bleed cause the possibility of stackin them, but nothing else.

    From my point of view/use, is pointless to use it on PvP.

    I dont know how long it usually takes for a blademaster to kill a mob, but if it takes 15 secs or longer then a bleed skill is useful. However if you do a bleeding attack then normal attacks/special attacks/whatever and the mob is dead in less than 15 secs then the bleed loses its effectiveness.

    Thats what i was trying to say (sorry :D)

    If the mob is same or lower than ur lvl, u can use bleed having chances for a certain kill.

    But for higher lvl mobs, is kinda pointless cause the high amount oh hp.

    Personally I preffer to stun (Lion Roar, Aeolian Blade) and then inflict as much dmg I can.
