My pet won't level

I got a new pet and now it's exp is stuck at 170/170. Is there a reason why it won't level up? It's only level 12.

    Whenever you train a pet, your pet's maximum level will always be equal to yours. If you're level 12, your pet won't level until you're level 13. It cannot be higher than your level. :p

    Another case would be the mobs your training on. Like say your venomancer is level 75 and your scorpion is level 74 with maxed experience. And for some reason you're killing level 1x mobs, your pet may not level.

    Also if you're levelling in a group, your pet only gets xp if you or it gets the last hit.

    I don't think there is any other way.

    There is a cash shop item that stops them from getting hungry but that won't increase the loyalty I don't think.

    just but alot of water and always keep loyalty above 500
