chi what is it and how do i get more?

i am a human mage i try to buy them barrier skill's.
then it tels me i don't have enough chi

i got way more than enough of the points to buy the skill.
but it says not enough chi points..

any advice is apprrectated. ty

    Go kill stuff, the chi bar below your XP bar will raise and give you enough to use the spell.

    If in a hurry in the arena or FB or something, shift click the training dummies/pillars to attack them and gain chi. Or have a member of the opposite sex in the party to "embrace" you and raise both of your chi quickly.

    Is your cultivation level high enough? If you haven't raised it to a certain level, you can't learn some skills.

    the game also mentions about that cultivation lvl, but how do i raise it??

    I don't recall the actual name of the quest, but you should get an alert at level 9 with instructions involving the Taoist Master in your starting town. Do the quest to raise your Cultivation Level. You'll have to do this at level 19 as well, then the world (non-race specific) quests begin.
