I don't recall it off the top of my head. All I remember is Fire beats Metal, Water beats Fire, Wood beats Earth. But if you click a monster and hover over the element (or non), it'll give you the list of elements.

    Fire > Metal > Wood > Earth > Water > Fire :)

    > = strong against.

    Fire < Water < Earth < Wood < Metal < Fire

    < = weak against

Well since PW is an MMORPG I suppose that it does less damage or normal damage to the monster.

To further clarify, are all attacks from a mob considered to be a certain element?

For example, if Random_Cat_Mob has "Fire" in its element, but is swatting at me with its claws, should I be caring about Fire Resistance or Physical Resistance to reduce damage?

That's what puzzles me as well. It would make sense if we're talking 5 Chinese elements; any kind of damage from "Fire" enemy, be it physical or not, would inflict you fire damage. If you know anything about Feng Shui or Yin and Yang order in the world, you would know elements affect anything and everything that exists.

    But still I wonder...

im not sure but it think it is
    physical damage+monster element damage
    and magical damage+monster element damage

physical damage goes to physical resistance and elemental damage to elemental resistance..

you have a stat called elemental resistance with the elements listed under the text

    ...

Ok - here's how it works.

    1. Hold your mouse over where it says the monsters element. This will pop-up a little box saying which element is strong against which other element.

    2. For example a metal monster will be weak against fire damage.

    3. Every attack has a different defence - metal, wood, earth, physical. But usually you just talk about 'physical' and 'magical' since those are usually the only ones which are greatly different.
