just got reminded how **** the random loot distribution system is in this game - random loot settings in a party never seems to work properly, and the majority of good loot always ends up going to one or two people in party.

always happens like this, random loot definitely isn't really random.

fix random loot setting please.

Might be range based? Wouldn't surprise me..

ive played some games before and from my experience a round robin distribution of drops in parties works very well :)

From my experience in MY-EN, there's another bug with the party. If the leader has theirs set to Random or Individual, but somebody joins with the other setting, theirs doesn't automatically change and they can't change it until they quit party, then they have to change it and rejoin.

Example: Somebody could join a Random party (Everybody has theirs on Random, along with the leader, and nobody changed it), but have theirs on Individual and they would keep all of their drops, and still get drops from the other people. Very unfair.

Or somebody with a Random joins a party with a friend who has theirs on Individual and the friend would be getting drops while also keeping theirs.

Did they ever fix this on PWI?

this bug was never fixed on PW MY.

would be nice if admin looked into this hugely bugged party loot system.

So it hasn't ever been fixed on MY-EN either? I haven't played for a while.

Well I really hope they look into fixing it here maybe.

I agree, the looting in random distribution is not fair. I have watched it when I play with a friend and it seems he always gets more. He usually does the picking up, so I thought maybe that had something to do with it ?

The looting system needs a fix. I'm still unclear as to how to even choose what sort of party looting there is.

I used to play Archlord and its party looting system had two options: Random and Contribution. Frankly I liked the contribution option because it meant the party member who contributed the most to a certain monster's doom got the best out of it.

It wuld be nice to have a similar option in PW but right now I'd settle for individual pick-ups over this clearly biased "random" looting.

EAs would get everything then if it went to who ever did the most damage.
