ok its a joke already. the game is awesome. but the bots are already here and in packs.
i mean like 5 + all on same spot all fire skill at same time, all move at same time all ksing and not a GM online. and the problem is you cant report fast enough.
i hope somthing will be done soon before the bots ruin the game

You do know you can click the character, right click the picture and choose report as hacker right?

Yes please report any botters that you see. We are actively trying to find and ban botters.

They were quick to remove a few on Lost City last night, so your experience was different.

Did you talk about the bots/hackers in general chat? Usually that helps because you can get other people to report them as hackers and then GM will get notified sooner.

Found a gold spammer in Heavens Tear. Xarfox himself was there a couple of minutes later, the spammer was not.

No I'm almost 100% positive that doing that will actually slow everything down. Reporting the same bot 100 times would just make more reports for them to go through in turn slowing down how long it take for them to get to other reports and to get rid of other bots.

Does PWI have the anti-bot question-answering popup, as in PW Chinese? That would help to some extent.
Don't have time playing to verify that in weekdays...

We have a zero tolerance policy with botting, gold selling, and hacking. No worries here. ;)

IP ban is bad. How about ppl with dynamic IPs.
They get IP banned for nothing. OK, they can try to get another IP, but that`s russian roulette.

could you also, if possible, lower the time to report bots? I usually see 3+ pack of them and I am not going to wait 15 minutes to report them all
I like to rub it in. Enjoying the game?

Also if your going to IP ban please make sure the person is or isnt botting because I was playing yesterday and there were about 50 people in 1 spot waiting for respawns....the congestion was very bad. It will thin out as the hard core players start to rise..

Well if anyone tries to say that there are bots everywhere and the gms are not on I'd have to say thats a total lie.

If i remember correctly from MY-EN, bots are usually only found in low level places. You don't get very far when you bot this game

instead of banning the bots, i rather want to make them has 1 atk power and PK-able regardless of server and locations. Since it's not "banning" , the bot probably can't read it and re-log to different account automatically.

I assumed they had a normal ticketing system that appended all reports on a single player name to one ticket. The more alerts on a ticket, the higher in the queue it goes.

But you seem to know a lot about the system, so it must be very basic?

Its a good thing they all (per pack) attack the same monster and only in the same spot.

It would also add to the fun to randomly spawn some big strong monsters (like a miniboss of sorts) for players to kill in areas where bots are reported. This does two things, one is kill the bots and two is provide higher level players something to challenge themselves with when they are not in a dungeon and are looking for extra exp, loot, and what not. -it should then send all the bots back to the nearest town where it will be easier to take note of them. Also the random miniboss must be avoidable by players who are on the keyboard - such as not attacking it will not cause it to aggro - bots dont know that.

I'm just guessing. I've played a lot of MMO's and the reporting system seem to all be set up the same. I guess it could do that too. I was basing my guess on this:

"Once you click the GM button, it will allow you report a botter. The message will then be queued in the order in which it was received. Please have patience as the GMs receive many help tickets throughout the day.

Contacting a GM once is sufficient. Your issue will not be processed any faster if you file multiple tickets; in fact, you are more likely to get a warning for abusing the system. So just remember that patience is a virtue and hang tight."

You know what would be a great idea to stop the botters. Have like that questioning popup, but if they don't answer after 5 or 10minute, they automatically get logged off. =)

It would be rather easy to design something that logs you back in after being logged out. Especially if you already spent time developing a bot. So unless you temporarily banned an account for that, or prevented it from logging on for a period of time, that would be nearly useless.

maybe they could make something that detects when a user clicks his mouse... and if u dont click ur mouse for a certain ammount of time u freeze and a question pops up and u have to answer to unfreeze and continue playin.. that would stop bots? :D

The only problem with this is that some ISPs use shared or dynamic IPs - For example, it appears that Hughes.net, my ISP is using a shared enforced proxy for all non-secure traffic. This means that anyone who uses Hughes.net appears to have the same IP(or, perhaps just a select few IPs, depending on different plans/whatever).

This presents a problem when someone on this same proxy does bad stuff and gets banned - I have run into several sites when searching on Google that give a "The administrator has banned your IP from this site" error, when I have never done anything wrong, or even *been* there before.

Also dynamic IP systems are just the opposite - every time you restart your modem, you get a new IP. This means that when someone gets banned, all they have to do is restart the modem(which takes perhaps 5 minutes), and they can go back to doing whatever they were doing before.

Now, I am not saying that IP banning is all bad; it does have its uses, but assuming that only a single person is using and will use that IP is somewhat foolish.

I would like to see something a bit better, perhaps only banning an IP for a certain period, however banning the bot/hacker's account & email forever.

    Thanks,

    -RobbieThe1st
