    Most people probably can... but I wouldn't just yet. Things might still be being changed. Wouldn't want to **** anything up. ^_^

    Updater's are simple file size checkers (most of the less advanced ones, like this one and RF Online) So they will only update a file if its file size/date is different. So listen to the mod unless you like to re-install. Although I highly doubt they would release something on the patch server that was bad. Better safe then sorry.

    they probably released it a bit earlier to avoid a major congestion of the servers in an hour.

    (We are still waiting to see any improvements or changes beign implemented. More empty promises from PWI?)

    I'm not sure how your doing it, mine's stuck on elements.dat , I've deleted the one ive got, didn't work, I downloaded kithy's files mentioned here http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=17251 but it didn't fix anything.

    The updater still gets stuck at 5% through elements.data

    For those getting stuck already at elements.dat for the new update, I ahve started a thread in teh Technical Support forum asking for that file to be uploaded after the beta starts. A moderator has even offered to upload them as soon as it opens!!!!

    elements.data ... That file which crawls slowly, being generally not-happy because of server overload. My client had network congestion and timed out, so it tried again and became much happier.

    Until the patcher crashed.

    Yay for pack files. :\

    Either way, the update went smoothly the second time when it didn't have network issues. Just Let It Run.

    i updated mine and it stoped about half way for a min or so and i went outside and when i got bk it had finished and now im at v5 cya in game

    The first time, I DID just let it run. For 2 days. And it still didn't work. I missed what little time I had for Closed Beta because of this lol. For some of us, it simply WILL NOT download. Letting it run, unfortunately, doesn't seem to work.
