For all the players who has Ventrillo, my friend is running a Website/Forum/Ventrillo for gamers. It's one of his gaming society, any gamers welcome to use his Ventrillo for free but he sure will appreciate a bit of donations for the website and ventrillo. However, don't ger me nor him wrong, he won't force you to donate! Here's the website for the Gaming society called "Zero Tolerance Gaming" [ www.ZeroToleranceGaming.com ]

That's the fist part said and done. About ventrillo, for all you players who has ventrillo. I am sure you all are more than welcome to come onto the Ventrillo and if you want a [Clan Channel] on the ventrillo, Just go to the website and it shall tell you how to request a channel. Here it is!

If you want to know anything else or need any help, Just give me a little add on msn if you have msn, if not, just leave a post containing [Help] in it! Any replies is necessary! Well, I hope to see you all on Ventrillo as soon as possible! Once your on thr website, You'll need to register of both the website and forum if possible! This post is for me to do my job and distrubute the gaming society to every gamers out here! Well, enjoy your stay. Your requested [Clan Channel(s)] (You can have maimum of 1 Channel and 2 Sub-Channels.] Will be given a wether "Request Accessed" or "Request Denied" by the Website/Ventrillo Owner!     That is very nice of you to offer a Vent service for those interested. I have my own Ventrillo server (I own a guild in WoW, so it's a necessary thing) and it's wonderful. Much MUCH better quality than Teamspeak. I do hope people take advantage of those and use it - it's a wonderful device.

    Sorry but I don't trust exposing my IP address to some random person just to join a voice chat server.

    What? He isnt asking for your IP, hes giving you the IP of the vent server. You need it to join. Never once did he ask for your IP.

    Yes, I understand Skar. Everything you run on your PC opens a Port of your machine IP. However, Ventrillo is a handy voice-communication system which involves mic, don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for your IP. =] So please give it a shot and try it if you have a mic or something! People without mics can still come on and listen to your clam mates and stuff xD Skar, I apoligize if I made you think I'm attempting to get your machine IP and I fully understand that everything you run on your PC opens a single port to your machine IP. But hey! Don't get me wrong, I apoligize.

    OK, that sounded like I was trying to flame, but that was not the intention.

    The point I was trying to make is that the admin of a Vent server, or TS, can look at my personal IP address and I have seen that used for shady reasons and DOSS attacks in former games. I'd rather stay annonymous and safe than take the risk.

    Again, this is not ment as a flame, just a little warning from someone who's seen bad **** in other games.

    The IP of your Ventrillo isn't your machine IP but the Ventrillo Client/Internet IP. It doesn't effect your pc in any ways.

    Your not understanding what I am saying, but its not worth getting into a discussion on the boards of how to **** another player so I'll just thank you for your time and move.

    I am the owner of Zero Tolerance Gaming. I fully understand your concern of exposing your IP to us by using our ventrilo service. Although I should point out that you are not any less exposed by having the internet plugged in to your computer. Every single website you visit exposes your IP to thousands of people. One website normally spreads your IP so hundreds of server through advertisements and other means. By replying to this forums have exposed your IP.

    Ventrilo only allows Admins to see IPs. I can assure you that my few admins are not able to do any sort of **** or DDOS attacks on you or anyone else. To tell you honestly they do not have the access to view your IP - Only I have.

    If you're so paranoid about this then I would suggest setting yourself up with some proxy servers. A lot of them have been know to be compatible with ventrilo.

    Keep in mind I am taking a much higher risk exposing my server's information to everyone here than you exposing it to one single person - me.

    On a more positive note I would like to invite everyone myself who would like to use Ventrilo onto my server. It currently holds 100 slots but I will upgrade if it gets too crowded. It has the highest voice quality that is also compatible with Mac users. Clan/Guild/Factions may request a channel through the website which you are entitled to get Admin rights to that channel if approved (Which often times will be)

    Over 600 people are registered onto my server and it grows everyday. My goal is to simply unite gamers and offer them free services which otherwise normally isn't.

    I theory yes you expose your IP all the time, however going to a place where people now know what exact game/activity you will be doing drastically increases the usefulness of having someone's IP address.     channel admins would not, but if any one else has server admin access checked in their profile they can add the powers that they need to do the rest. I have added powers to my profile on other Vent servers just because that box is checked and it gets over looked more than most people know.
