Save character looks for Open Beta?

Greetings!
If you have taken pains to get your character to look just so, the wipe occurring when closed Beta switch to open might see you forced to start over.
Some of you might not mind, but since the sliders doesn't use numbers it would be very hard indeed to make a new character that looks just like you old closed Beta character.
However, it should be possible to make a backup. If you have made a customized character and saved the settings, those settings will be stored on your harddrive.
Go and find the PW folder. It'll probably be somewhere on C:\
It's called 'PerfectWorldEntertainment' unless you renamed it when you installed it.
Follow this path:
PerfectWorldEntertainment/PerfectWorldInternational/element/userdata/character/customize
In the 'customize' folder is a list of numbered folders:
00
01
10
11
20
21
30
31
40
41
50
51
60
61
70
71
Check through these folders, and when you see a file with a long series of numbers, for example: 2008_8_27_2_35_47.ini - that's your character.
They are all ini files, and all begin with a date; 2008_etc
Copy all these (if you have more than one character) and put them in a backup file.
Example: C:/PWbackup/31/2008_8_27_2_35_47.ini
Don't forget to make corresponding numbered (00-71) folders in the backup folder itself, then paste the ini file into the right folder.
After the wipe, go to your backup file and copy/paste your customized character's ini file into the correct PW character folder.
Now, it's possible all this isn't necessary, but better safe than sorry.
If this issue has been touched on already, my apologies. I did check a bit if it had, but admittedly not very carefully. Again, better safe than sorry.
If you like making new characters, then don't bother and let your creativity loose once the open beta start.

^ exactly.
the only reason to do what the OP described is when you are moving from another server or formatting your HDDPW has been endless frustration for me #2

You can even copy your creation from other server to PWI. I did ^^.Why...so...serious?
