Regarding the RageQuit thing...

So this forum been filled with this junk lately....
Threads after threads of rant and flame...
My view point, PKing is ok...
BUT, excessive PKing is not...
So, why not set a limit on how much a person can be PKed in a hour...
Die 3 times, and have the rest of the time to do w/e you are doing....
I think that's pretty fair...
But to balance it out, the person who cannot be PKed , cannot PK....
What you think?
Move this to Suggestion if you want, but I'm trying to get people to see my idea.

    i like this idea very much. this would really fix very many problems and made PK bareable for PK-ed players

    Erm....Did you really think this through? Ppl or guilds could be easily shut down just by dieing 3 times.
    If being constantly pk'd offends you, roll on the PVE server. A better idea would be that if you contact a GM because you are being pk'd, He should ban YOUR IP from the PVP server and only allow you to access the PVE server.....

    Hmm dunno, I guess something like that could work if thought up bit differently. But I guess the more active PK'ers wouldnt like to stop after 3 deaths, even the best of them die every now and then. And it is PK server for a reason.

    My guess is everyone is whining about RQ and PK in general atm because there is no PvE server currently, thus even the peeps who dont like PK are forced to endure it (the ones too inpatient to wait for OB^^). Hopefully it will ease up once OB and PvE server launches^_^ Well, except the RQ whines, they attract attention wherever they go, and are loving it :D

    EDIT: I really like how you put that into words, like severan said sounds like song lyrics :)

    Beside the fact that you can only kill the same person 3 times in a hour.

    Its PvP. Not PvE.
    And yes you are a carebear when suggesting something like this in a PvP server. If you can't handle it, go to the PvE server.

    in a game, my victory is your defeat.

    there's no harassment here, just PVP...PKS and PKMs (player kills per minute)
    why would anyone lmit player kills on a PVP server? They have the PK penalty... if a player is willing to stake that and continue it means he wants more fun

    players who choose PVP server are expected to be pk'ed, when you created your character on a pvp server you officially signed a contract that said "this is where you pixel character is going to die an infinite number of times"

    so what if you get killed? take it as a (killed++ / infinite)
    don't you people understand? The sheer blood lust and the unexpected death of your character by the next player killer is what makes PVP fun.

    if you don't want that fun, you can just go to a PVE server, thats what that server is all about.

    There's something called Excessive verbal abuse, but there's no such thing as Excessive PVP on a PVP server.

    If the sign board on a restaurant says "All you can eat for 15$" it means you can eat as much as you want for 15$.

    here PVP is a label that mimes "all the players you can kill for pk penalty" it means all you can kill till you DC / had enough / tired / give up / have some place to go / log out.

    It is a PvP server. What do you expect?

    If someone is constantly trying to attack you :

    - Get some friends and fight him back.

    - Let him kill you a few time, then yell on WC that player XXXX form guild YYY is at position zzz.zzz with a blood red name and wait for his ennemies to come say "hi" to him.

    - Move elsewhere. If he is preventing you from completing a quest, finish it later. The map is big enough so he will not find you if you go elsewhere. If he does, go into an instance, where he won't be able to follow you.


    I'm not into PvP in MMO, but when I play a FPS I'm damn happy if I can frag the same guy 10 times in one minute. Must be the same thing here for PvP prone players....

    And like all the other said, if you don't like risking being killed at all time, come play on the PvE server with us.

    actually, even on PvP servers, excessively killing the same prson over and over, as in kill/res/kill method, or waiting right outside town, qualifies as "griefing" and IS a form of harassment. You should really bone up on your game terminology. I hope the GMs take that into consideration on the PvP server, and all of RQ winds up being banned or suspended multiple times over it. After all there's plenty of people to PK, don't follow the same ones over and over.

    You do know, that like 20% of RQ are playing Closed Beta and the rest 80% are waiting for Open Beta. You base your assumptions on this? "all of RQ being banned" <- so you know every single person in RQ that they do this kind of methods? Oh right your'e the Mr Overseer.

    it's a game, if you are being killed over and over and over again, then you must have done something to offend the pk'er. In which case you have broken the TOS 1st.
    no random pk'er will kill you for eternity.

    some simple facts about pvp servers:
    1. If you have a big mouth, you will be pk'ed
    2. If you act tough, you will be tested
    3. If you spam the world chat with garbage and whine about pks, you will be hunted
    4. If you insult someone, you'll be K.O.s'ed
    5. If you drag his mom / family in, you'll be destroyed

    unless you are not going to do any of the above, you just have to worry about a random pk'er killing you once.

    you know what this reminds me off? too many kids playing this game.

    Lost city is a PVP server, if u want to play on it u gotta handle this, so if u dont like
    it go to the PvE! WTF!

    there aint gonaa be such thing as 3 deaths go to safe mode, u really think PW I admins will
    shut down the server change configurations and start a new closed beta so close of the open beta
    just because some carebear cant handle PVP server
