I got it to work finaly, I use a program called WinLauncherXP that lets me set my processor to single core. Just another reminder to anyone having trouble. with this "super speed"

I'm not sure what the deal is...but even in the menu, the waterfall is running in a very fast loop, trees waving back and forth unaturaly, etc.

In the game I move or click, I instantly warp to that spot, but then I rubberband back and forth. It reminds me of running an old school ROM on a new OS, and it runs in 10x speed.

Does this game support Dual Core? I even tryed disabling it and it still does it.

I'd like to play I enjoy these types of games, but perhaps its too old to run on a newer computer?

Specs:

AMD 6k+ dual core
4gig DDR2 Ram
8800 MSI GT

I even maxxed out the game as much as I could helping to slow it down, but no luck. Does it in windowed mode as well.

I love it when somone has an issue, the kiddies with nice computers feel like telling everyone I RUN GREAT CRYSIS OMG MAXX OMG!!!!11!!!11!!1!!

Anyways, wether u are having problems or not. This game has problems with some Dual Core processor, I'm letting them know that.

Also i know alot of people who think they have a dual core processor, and really dont...and or they didnt format when they got their new one...and windows doesnt recognize it. Check your specs sometimes, if you dont see two processor listed in your system hardward specs...then you my friend are NOT running dual core.

I was just putting this fix out there for people with this issue, and letting them know it is in fact an issue with Dual core, be it AMD or whatever.

WinLauncherXP is the program you can use to run in single core.

Bulls***. PW ran fine in both XP and Vista with no rubbish 3rd party software. I don't have to use any 3rd party program nor set cpu affinity.

AMD users on XP - use AMD dual core optimizer. If problems persist, set core affinity to only 1 core in taskmanager.
Vista should require no bulls*** patches or optimizer since it's in by default.
Intels shouldn't need anything extra because they dont suck like AMD's current stock does.
