Character Customization and various questions.

I'm rather confused by character customization. I'd thought for a time that via ZEN you could buy something for your account or character that would give you more customizable options. So, I bought a Makeover Scroll with the free ZEN. All I found was the same exact cusomization options as originally creating the character. This causes me to ponder something..

While playin the game I came across an WE Archer that was not only much shorter then everyone else, but also very large and fat, and seemed to jump differently, etc. I was wondering how this is possible? I don't see a hight modification and it doesn't seem like editing the head with and such would cause the length of a body to shrink as well.


Secondly, is there going to be any further options for the Barbarian(Male Untamed)? Such as maybe being able to edit hair color at least so that not everyone looks so similar? It seems to be the only race/class with lack-luster customization.


And my final question was on Closed Beta. Is today the end of it? Or do we who already have accounts and are playing, get to continue playing until Sept 2 when the open Beta starts and our characters are wiped?

    Most likely he edited some .ini files, which is forbidden by the TOS and can get you into trouble here.

    There are two types of makeover scrolls : regular and advanced (or whatever names they'll get here)

    The advanced give you a few more options, like uneven facial features.

    those fat character had edited his .ini file, therefore getting banned as soon as a GM notices it.

    You can only change things that you could select when creating your character.

    Customizing barbarians more would be nice, but is not implemented and will not be implemented in the near future it seems.

    Closed beta ends september 2nd for everyone playing it, servers go down then, characters are wiped, open beta starts 4 hours later.

    Hrmm, that sucks about the character editing. My friend was happy when he thought he could be short and fat. He's a big guy in real life and isn't embarrassed or worried about it and wanted a character that looked something like him. lol


    Alright, so we're still getting the wipe? I guess tha the free Zen is just for messing around with until OB then.. makes sense I susppose.


    Oh I have another question more game related. Is it possible to have all four professions, well what I mean is it supposed to be possible or should I report it? Seeing as my character has all four and I'm not sure if I'm only supposed to have one or what.

    You can have as many trade skills as you like. You're not breaking any rules by having more than one. ;)

    Phew. Alright. I just did all the quest today and was realized that I had all of them. Hehe.

    i second this, only being able to edit the eye color sucks. should have more thing you can change the color of. teeth, hair, inner ears just to name a few. the lion's mane should flare out more also, and be able to change the mane color or fur color.

    changing the fur color i highly agree on. I'm tired of that sickly yellow green base fur on the lions. They are not even that color.

    Please add in more editing options to barbarians, even if it's only more color options.

    Didn't feel like making a new post just to ask some questions when I was already asking questions in this thread. A few more things I've come across.


    I've noticed some peopl doing 'flips' or hand springs as they run or as they fall from jumping. How the heck do you do this?


    Is there a list of contros? Like what keys doe what exactly? I've figured a lot of them out on my own, and I've checked the n00b area, I don't really see a keyboard listing of what does what.


    and lastly(At least for this time) Is there an option to display my helmet? I've seen some people running around with a head band or something, but I can't seem to get mine to display not matter what I do.

    Press the "X" key while running.

    No, you cannot show the helm. The things you may see on some players's heads are part of the hair set they choose at character's creation. Some have things in the hairs and such.

    Ah, thanks for the info. Guess it works out for the best, most helms on MMORPGs end up looking stupid anyways. XD

    Yeah I also saw a female elf who was a good bit shorter than everybody else. Ok, now that I think about it, she wasn't that much shorter than other female elves, but she was a good 4 or so 'game inches' shorter. I figured she used some kind of cash shop feature to change her height though.

    And speaking of that, why can't you change your character's height, even if only a bit? Seems a bit weird that as different as all the characters can look, they're all the same size.

    The "kissing" function would probably not work fell if you could modify your height. A tall char would end up kissing thin air if he was holding a short char.

    Having just downloaded PWI, I agree about the lack of Untamed male customization. Namely, there isn't any. Changing only the eye color results in a horde of people who differ only in relative stockyness. Other races and classes get detailed customization and it seemed inexcusably lazy on the developer's parts to leave the barbarians all looking exactly the same.

    At the very least we should be able to tweak fur hues, relative shagginess of cheek ruffs/manes, stripe patterns on tigers.

    I was looking forward to playing this game but it's off-putting to discover that the class/race I wanted to play is not considered important enough to get basic features every other race/class has.

    Edit: It's even worse than I thought. Two dozen presets for the female Untamed, four for the male. On the female, you can customize EVERYTHING. On the male, you can customize...eye color and stockiness.
