Pets losing their strength and buffs after taming them...why?

I tried to tame a pet with a special ability like higher resistance, increased life/damage, special attack etc but it loses those after you tamed them. I tried this out by taming a normal pet and then a pet from the same level only with increased resistance, but they have the same statts after taming....Why don't they get those specials after you tamed them, cause that would be realy cool and they are harder to tame I saw even when they're almost death :P? Also I want to know why it is that if you tame a mob that uses magic they switch to melee after they're tamed..?
At last I have a question about legedary pets..How and where do you get them and on what level cause I realy want the phoenix :P

    Yes, it's great if they can change that.
    You can not tame a phoenix, collect 9999 Phoenix feathers through cash shop or FB99, then trade with Mrs. Zoology in Archosaur... Hope they won't sell these stuff too soon though, it will ruin the fun of PVP.
    Why...so...serious?

    I just know the price in Viet server only : super cheap, only $50 ^^.
    In **** server, they sell 1000 feathers package for 50 gold, while green HP/MP charm is 1 gold.
    So if they sell the package here for 50 gold too, it will cost you $500 for a phoenix (if 1 gold = $1).
    Why...so...serious?

    Who cares about stat losing....
    I just want the pet's graphics to stay like that before the taming! A flying foxie looks pretty before taming..afterwards it's just a piece of **** =___=
    As for the phoenix: nice stats, high cost...and a pic? I haven't seen any pics/in-game screenshots about it...care to share one with us if someone has got 1? Pleaseee:D

    their loosing their stats becouse pets would be overpowered

    It is the same one... But IDK why it is blue. Most phoenix I see is yellow/orange...
