How much Zen does 1 U.S.Dollar get you?

Does anyone know what the U.S. Dollar to Zen curency exchange rate is? If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated.

    $1=1Zen isn't confirmed, now, is it? If it is, I'd be very curious to see where it was said, if it was. The prices are subject to change, is all that was said... so even if it's 1-1, which seems rather unlikely, I'm sure the item-mall prices will be changed so 1-1 actually works.

    The final conversion rate hasn't been announced yet, and it won't be announced until open beta starts most likely. No need to ask, as GMs will not give out the information until it's officially announced. They've said they're still discussing the final rates and watching player reaction to help gauge the final cost.

    PLAYER REACTION: $0.25 per ZEN is the most fair and good price for both parties.

    Some people who seem to be employed for PW (not gms or admins though, and not saying who either) were in irc and discussing this with us.

    $1 for 1 zen is pretty much confirmed, what may be changed is how much zen an item costs.
    You can safely expect to pay at least $1.5 for a silver hp heiro, if not more (which is still way higher than MY), as I highly doubt they will go lower considering hosting costs of the USA vs malaysia/europe/china. Most non-essential items will probably be higher price yet.

    The cash shop cost is going to greatly affect who stays here, and what class they play if they do stay.

    What really pisses me off is that a $15 subscription would be far cheaper in the long run... once the economy inflates (people hit high levels, townships taken, rmts settle in), people won't be able to play for free (cg is 350k+ on MY, imagine 1m+ per here, even **** is 900k). They'll be spending $15 a month on heiros, $50+ a month for zen party heiros/scrolls, and that's not even mentioning the other cash shop items.
    What neoneo spent $1000 to do on PW-MY will take $3000 here lol.

    Optimistic is bullsh**. Look at Rohan, look at RF. They try to look cool but in the end all that matters is making money.
    Though RF's failure wasn't greed, Rohan's was.

    My comparison would be $1 Every 100 ZEN = 1 Gold in Cash shop. The mounts I saw cost 20G meaning that would probably cost you $20.00 for the super fast mount. That is not too much to ask imo considering you dont NEED to spend a fortune in the game. You could just have someone els buy it for you and you give them in game money for it.

    I agree with ya! I mean I don't mind spending alot of money on this game since I love it but I hope its not over priced D:

    Most of the money players are spending is towards Guardian Angels and Hierograms. That's like a **** load per month already. You simply cannot win in this game or even play worthy enough to compete with cash shop users. I'll probably just go to Aion when it comes out(2009) and ditch Perfect World if the currency is 1-1. Of course I'll still play, just probably wont stay. We'll see.

    If the price is too high, many will either go back to PW-MY-EN, will wait for PW-MS-EU, or will move to another game.

    Or everyone will make Venomancers.

    To be honest, this game would so own if there's absolutely no such thing as Hierogram. I dont' even care about 100% refining @ Item mall, it's jsut the Hierograms. Infact, Hierogram is so dependable that it makes you spend iRL money no matter what. If you refuse to, than you'll just suck compare to cash shop users.

    Too bad I honestly dont think the staff would really listen and make the currency near MY-EN.

    Great someone that agrees with me... Hieros need to be removed or dropped in price drastically, its so unfair for people who dont use the cash shop... I dont mind anything else because all the others are luxury items more or less, they wont make or break the game, but hieros do..

    Ive been playing a blademaster with hiero during the beta and wow... Theres no comparison, you can do things that would be completely impossible without it, such as bosses/fbs

    Either way, thats why I made it to 40 to get the free 10 gold, at least thats enough for 2 gold hieros

    Even if the prices change, I would pick PWI over PW-MY. I tried to install that game like 3 times already now just to see what its like. There are so many glitches installing it. Took me an hour just to figure out what to do the english translation was so bad. Once I got the patches done "MANUALLY" shouldn't have to do that for a game but anyway. Once I got them done it wouldn't even let me start the game kept saying something about "User end program client something blah blah, exit game before update blah blah" (I kept clicking update but it would pause for 4 minutes then go back to saying update) made no sense whatsoever........... Half the files where in Japanese letters yet it said on www.perfectworld.com.my that , what I downloaded was the English version. I also surfed all kinds of forums even went to the main English forum and not one person offered to help me.

    So due to that bad exp with PW-MY, I'm going to be playing PWI for a long long time :D

    Stop QQing about the prices. I played the MY Version to 76 as a werebeast and didn't spend a cent on cash shop. So apparentaly it is doable.

    Did you see that they are giving 1000 zen for reaching level 40 on CB, does that means something to you? hmm, lets think for a moment... u said 1 dollar = 1 zen.. so WOW are they really giving 1000 dollars for reaching level 40 ?? WOW amazing isnt it ??..

    Now use ur *empty* brain and try to think again, there's no way of 1 zen = dollar DUDE, because they are giving 1000 zen FOR FREE....

    He obviously meant 1$ = 1 Gold = 100 zen

    Im glad its staying the same and the cash shop prices will be lowered instead, it means I can get more out of my free 10 gold LOL!

    it doesnt matter, nothing is confirmed and he's still claiming 1 usd = 1 zen/gold/or any sht.. at the beginning of the thread.. And i hate when ppl make confirmations of something that had been said that will be changed.

    I'll ROFL at you when I turn out right, and I will be right because PWI WILL cost more than MY did. It's only natural, MY is a 3rd world country the USA is not, not to mention MY did many unethical things to make more cash.

    Lowest I can see it going is $1 for a silver heiro but I doubt it.

    Hierograms are the best!!!!!!! If you don't wann buy them nobody is forcing you to, They should not get rid of them

    Well they've gotta make their money one way or another - if they didn't there wouldn't be a PWI. And I doubt the big guys are gonna give up their popular cash shop items to make things more balanced. We'll just have to work a bit harder to reach the top. It's possible.
