Is there a PI Wiki that will tell us this information? I have seen the monster location table on http://pw-wiki.onlinewelten.com/enMonsterLocations.ashx , but no loot table is currently available on the Wiki's I visited.

Here is one site that seems to have an incomplete loot table: http://www.pwdatabase.com/

Searching on "Silk Thread" gives you the following page: http://www.pwdatabase.com/my/items/811

I also went here: http://pw.rob-soft.com/m1my.php This may only reflect the PW-MY server, but I put in "Silk Thread" into the "Item Dropped" filed and it returned 24 monsters. I'd think that since the basic game mechanics comes from the same source then most of the drop information may be relevant to PWI servers.

    Anyone know of other sites?

Ok so I know this thread is pretty old but was hoping someone had some new info...

    I looked up Silk Thread @ http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/821
I have been fighting the Skelevizen Lieutenant, Resentful Ghoul, and Tombseekers in SP and have gotten like 4 in an hour of farming with my 41 alt cleric.

I also checked out http://pw.rob-soft.com/m1my.php and searched for silk thread, and noticed the following note:
    Search returned (24) monster/s.
    (22) monster/s was found without a location.

Does anyone else have a better place/way to get silk thread? I am not refering to purchasing it in cat shops, I wanna know how they accumulate so much for shops. Not that I want to sell but I need a lot for BS lvl increase.

If you notice at the 11 O'clock position on the mini-map there is a little book Icon -it is an encyclopedia. when you click on it a window will open up. click on the word item, then drag and drop a silk thread in to the available box. it will give a description of the item and tell you which creatures drop it. If you click the word monster/creature; I forget the exact term, you can type in the name of the creature and it gives you an option:Drops. If you click on it; it will tell you what items that creature drops. If your level is much higher than the monster your trying to kill it may be difficult to get the creature to drop the desired item. Try to find creatures closer to your level for better results. -I hope that this helps.

Nope, no better place to get silk thread than SP. I like the room with lots of tombseekers and resentful ghouls on the way to Shade Eido for farming silk thread, especially on a cleric.

41's a bit high to get the best drop rate, but not bad. Mob drop mats are always frustrating to gather, so just have patience.

Oh, and next time, start a new thread rather than dredging a long dead one up from its graveyard.

Decaying ghouls mostly drop silk threads as far as I remember, they're near the silver pool
I wish I could really fly..
It would be so much easier to be with you.

Not only do decaying ghouls have a lower base drop rate than the mobs she's farming in SP, but the level difference is higher (meaning more of a drop rate nerf) and they're more spread out.
