Well you changed the OB from 4 to 2 servers we all know, but when are the other 2 going to open. I will not waste my time on a east coast server if I don't have to. I can play east coast but I wont buy any cash shop items until you open other servers. Thats a waste of MONEY and TIME then to just switch. I think you owe it to all the players to tell us when they will open and when they are not opening as said? Please reply GM.

if they didnt have issues with the server it would open on time they will let us know when they get it fixed or figure out what they need to do to fix it.

yeah i agree what am i supposed to do in new zealand until the west servers go up? i simply cant play on east servers as the timezone wil be far too different than the NZ one. when it comes to time specific events it just wont work.

it doesn't seem like they're having server issues, just that the player base initially may not be profitable enough to open 4 servers.

still the issue is a valid one, if we start playing on the east coast server, then the west coast comes out shortly after, it will be alot of zen wasted to transfer over to a better time zone.

They won't be East or West servers, just 2 servers setup for any timezone.

The servers are being optimized for both east and west coast users now. The difference in ping should be negligible regardless of which coast you are playing from.

In other words, just play on whatever server fits your playstyle (pve vs pvp) regardless of where you live in the US.

There is two PvP servers up at the moment. Lost City (East) and Etherblade (West). I think they said that when Open Beta launches, they will open the PvE servers for east and west (one for each). So I really don't think you have anything to worry about.

Also, being east and west is only so people can easier participate in events because of diffrent timezones.

It is said in the announcement of the Open Beta there will only be 1 PVP and 1 PVE server up. Configured to accommodate all time zones and optimized to allow minimal lag for everyone.

Then I have no idea. They seem to go around and change things so much, it's easy to get confused. =(

I don't agree with taking down Etherblade server. Nobody on that server agree with it one bit. I think two PvP servers and one PvE server would be just fine and dandy and would make everyone happy because we all know sooner or later the East server will be way too over populated that they will be forced to make another server.. So I say why not make it now instead of waste time making it later.

You guys say more people play Lost City, right? This is because that is the DEFAULT server for the game. When you open then game you are automatically on Lost City unless you MANUALLY switch it at the top yourself. Most people don't see this and just open the game and log in.

    [off topic]

What is up with Ancient Dragon Citys new name? It sounds like some sort of dinosaur. The name Archosaur has nothing to do with the city. Wouldn't you think City Of Dragons would fit it much better? I know I do...

lol, no one would give a .... if you dont buy zen, because there won't be a Item mall from the beginning of OB, and the release date of it, isnt confirmed, so learn to read before trying to troll, noob.

anyone know the actual timezones the servers will be in ... daily events will be a big part of the game later on, so event times are actually important...at least for me.

am i to assume "optimzed" for both east and west meaning the server event times will be in mountain time or central time zone as a compromise between the two coasts?

I must admit that Leode on the MY-EN forum was doing a better job at keeping the players informed than what they do here....

Your question was asked more than a few time already, and was not replied to so far. Except in a vague manner like :

I also don't like the fact that ppl are only talking about east/west coast times and ignoring all of europe.

If the est coast server isnt going to be near GMT we're ALL going to play pw-eu cos there is no sense to play a server where we can never attend the events/TW.

Also server times should be listed on the "select your server" page so when players join the game they will immediatly know which one is best for them.

As mentioned we are phasing out West Coast/East Coast server distinctions and will now differentiate servers solely based on PVE vs. PVP.

That said, we are currently in the process of formulating our events scheduling and are carefully taking into consideration the time zone differential between both coasts to accommodate players across the country.

Why is it so hard for you to answer your PM's?

    Thanks for the clarification.

I think players that are worried about the timing of events are mostly from Europe rather than the US right now....

Your answer kind of imply you are giving up on the european players (and any other not in North America)

Would it surprise you? Customer service went out the window, why not the accommodation for Europeans too?

we do realize that there other users with similar concerns and we are trying our best to accommodate everyone's needs as efficiently as possible. the best thing to do is to continue providing us with feedback to help us make the best decisions possible in regards to our upcoming events scheduling.
