i nominate darthpanda16 for admin of the year lol aight ppls here it is a working client not only confirmed by myself but by 6, yes i said 6, of my close friends AND also i might add by our excellent most mawesomest admins. here's the quote:

You have to sign up, and it gives you two files to download. It gives you Part 1 and Part 2. After the extraction (WinRAR or 7 Zip), put the Part 2 files (datapak3 and datapak4) into the part 1 directory then run the install.

This may not be the steps exactly, as I am relaying the message from one of the crew but it should help you all.

Thanks for hanging in there with us, and hopefully you all can download and get in game soon!

The problem seems that some of the sources have only put up half the install files in one zip for some reason, and we are still trying to figure out the corruption, lost packets issues.

you do have to sign up with this site but no biggy at all, just uncheck the newsletters and updates

works for XP and Vista, all variants of Vista i might add. how darthpanda16 explained the 'relayed' info on how to copy 'part 2' files into the 'part 1' folder is the correct way to do this. i can almost 100% say that this client will work, but im aware that there are still some issues out there. i do very much hope that this helps everyone. again that you darthpanda16, and every admin involved, and too all my fellow PW players, you've all been a great help. see you all in game and good luck :D

    by client you mean the download it self? but wat about the update will it work cause thts the only trouble im havin.

    Client is in all Download Official sources version, 1 what is finkster trying to say that download have no corupted files so while you have problem with update one thing is for sure its not downloaded client fault (if you downloaded from mmofury.com web site and direct download is also working I tested myself) that cause problems.

    P.S. this also means there is no manual patch and no already full updated Client to download, curently version of client that is updated is 4 version.

    Thx for the reply and your effort, but im still confused lol. I downloaded mine off this site the main client and mine has no corruption in any of the data packs.
    What I am having problems with is the update, which, keeps getting stuck at createinfo1.stf

    are you trying to say if i download from mofury i will beable to patch or is that the one on mmofury is known not to be corrupted?

    no I am trying to say that it doesn't matter from where you downloaded client it always same result Version 1 but I heard there is in some cases that some sources are corupted but not from mmofury or direct download they fine as for patching/updateting it also same with everyone they mostly freeze at file called Element or Task only advice I can give is to try and try to update me personely able to update after I pressed Verifly and I had all checked in Update Settings first time it failed but second time it did veriflyed and patched.... as for getting stuck on Createinfo1.stf well I remamber I saw similare cases also somewhere in forum just can't remamber where

    thnks for the info, yeh ive been updating for the last 3 days constantly verifying but nothing happens continues to get stuck, ohwell, guess ill have to wait for pen beta :(

    What kind of internet connection do you have?

    Where in the world are you?

    The patcher needs to have a fairly speedy and reliable connection during patching/updating the main client. So all of your bandwidth needs to be freed up while it is running.

    Then after you have patched and got in game, you MIGHT be able to have other programs running while playing, but not recommended unless you are very computer literate (if you're not, I wish I was you some times!!)

    (btw, I'm glad we were able to help some of you out. We want you all in game and having fun. The PC gaming world is a fantastic one but, there is often a price to pay in getting EVERY game working on MOST Windows systems. Notice I didn't say EVERY the 2nd time, because it isn't ever going to happen where every game works on every system. Well, maybe PONG in Assembly)
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    theres nothing wrong with my connection im able to play WoW just fine even on high specs without lag. I'm just not able to download the patch for PWI on either 2 of my laptops,

    at first when i downloaded it from filefront.com i kept getting this weird message:

    so i uninstalled and downloaded the client from mmosite.com, then i got the same, most common problem everyone has with the update process... so then i happened upon darthpanda16's post and tried the client from mmofury and it worked. I and 6 of my frens, tried downloading it from diff sources, not the same of course, to see which worked and we all came to the same conclusions.

    either it wouldn't update right, would get the messages in another language, or the game would start up but couldn't log in. im not saying the client from mmofury will work for everyone but im almost 100% positive it'll work for most of you. like i said before we tried this client on not only windows XP but also on all Vista versions, excluding Ultimate. i really hope this client work for everyone, and to darthpanda16 and the rest of our lovely admins, keep up the fantabulous work :D

    Nope sorry mate, all this client did was take longer...alot longer to download, still can't get the updater to get any further than createinfo1.stf :(..oh well

    What is your actual bandwidth? Not what your ISP tells you, but what speed do you actually download at per second?

    Try getting the game from the Direct Download (on our Download Page). You need to have a speedy, solid, broadband connection, or you will get lost packets and/or corrupted files and also will most likely get terrible lag once in game.

    For the game to patch, you MUST have a solid connection too, because it only takes a few seconds to patch normally for the majority of people. :D

    I downloaded of the main page and wasn't able to patch with that client, I also downloaded from MMOFURY that didnt work either

    My download was between 850-900kbs my ISP is BT I'm from the UK

    i was really hoping it would work for everyone... i mean we even, all 6 of us i mean, uninstalled it. we downloaded it again, individually of course, only this time from the direct download. all worked again! i do hope that this helped, at the least, a hand full of people. the admins are trying they're best, all i can say is try your best to be patient. im sure they'll come up with something :(

    I really wish it would of been fixed, but by the time it is I'll have started my new job and wont really have the time to play it :(. This makes me cry :'(
